Thanks Reuben! MCT Trains got the 67s clips but had no plans to use the clip so I added it to this video 🙂

What a video! You must have been all over the olace chasing old bahamas! Great job! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks! It was a bit if a chase - both last week and this, but enjoyable - it’s always nice to have her down south for a bit and 47802 is an epic 47 too, so a beautiful match up 🙂

Great video! I was going to go see this in the evening at Basingstoke but the train times were different than what they usually were and I didn't realised so I unfortunately missed it. However it's doing alot of trips around here during the summer so I might see it at some point. How on earth did you manage to go to all those stations in one day to see the same train! Oh and lovely shot of the class 444 and 67 at the end
@AnthonyFurnival Жыл бұрын
That last shot of the 67s was taken by MCT Trains. Getting multiple shots all comes down to planning and a bit of luck - it’s always a case of looking if you can get to dowagers faster than the tour can - this is helped by water stops etc
@SouthWestRailEnthusiast Жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyFurnival Oh yeah water stops do slow down the journey of the steam train. Do you know if there will be any rare movements near basingstoke anytime soon (not the class 701)?
@AnthonyFurnival Жыл бұрын
@@SouthWestRailEnthusiast that’s right, yeah 🙂Theres not loads confirmed to be honest. There’s 67s to Bath on a tour soon - weds 16th, then you have Bahamas and a 47 the day after on Thurs 17th on another Dorset Coast Express. A little further out at Eastleigh you’ll have LSL diesels on the English Riviera Express on the 12th though they break off the mainline at Eastleigh going via Romsey. Alternatively on Tuesday you have the Sunset Steam Express (probably Britannia on the front) but you’d need to go to Woking to get that. There might be some other curious movements but they usually appear as VSTP or STP - so keeping an eye on stuff coming from and going to Eastleigh Arlington (aka Eastleigh Works) is a good idea - as almost everything that goes in and out of there is a little different.
@SouthWestRailEnthusiast Жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyFurnival Thanks! Also on Saturday 12th the bahamas is coming through Reading so I might go see that aswell. Do you know what day and times the LSL diesels will be at eastleigh? Also are the class 80x trains still going to eastleigh works for repair with the cracks?
@AnthonyFurnival Жыл бұрын
@@SouthWestRailEnthusiast I believe the 80x units are still going there but I’ve not heard of any moves. They’ll probably run under a headcode starting with 5. I’m not sure on times yet - it’ll probably be two 47s but they occasionally use the 37s or 40 - they’ve not listed the traction for it yet sadly.

Splendid stuff 👌👌👍👍🙂🙂 I'm not as adventurous as you though - I just stuck to Fleet for both the morning and evening shots. They're both on YT if you haven't seen them.
