Isn't the whole idea of drag lost at that point? Diluted to nothingness? Sugar does not break the mold, the gender stereotypes. Her look is completely in line (maybe a bit over the top) with female beauty standards and expectations. Her self-identify does not matter, as her outward characteristics are still female and feminine (and she plays into them!), and despite saying or being otherwise, it does not change the public's perception of her as female.

And an argument could be made if I smeared my face in red and rolled around in the dirt in the garden, but if I outwardly not only present as a person but amplify the characteristics typically associated with personhood, I will be called a person. My point being, she does not break nor even attempt to break the mold of perception. Drag is about this break.
