This recipe on how to make Chinese steamed pork buns was made years ago but then KZbin just notified me that a part of this video was flagged so I had to delete it. I re edited it and uploaded the full version here. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
For the dough
2 cups All purpose flour(best to get dumpling or bun flour at Chinese market) : amzn.to/2q3e3u5
3/4 cups of water
1tsp yeast
1tsp sugar
Filling:
White pepper, couple pinches
12 oz pork, 70/30 or 80/20 is best, not too lean
1 tsp minced ginger
1 stalk of scallion
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 tsb salt
1/4 tsb sugar
1 tbsp oyster sauce:
1 tbsp chinese rice cooking wine: amzn.to/2qDZom3
2 tsp corn starch
2 tbsp sesame oil: amzn.to/1MNd1lL
.4 cup of water
Tools:
Parchment paper
Plastic wrap
Steamer

I’ve made bao a few times since you posted this video and there is a world of difference in how they look! Thank you so much for posting this, especially for concentrating on how to finish the pleats! I love my beautiful bao! Now they look as good as they taste!

The first baozi i ever made was this recipe, and it was one of the best I've ever had. What a throwback. Thanks for teaching me how to make buns and your other recipes like mapo tofu.

It’s a great recipe! I cooked it based on the old video with my sister, subbing chicken for pork (I’m allergic). Besides my terrible pleating it still tasted delicious!

this is awesome. adding corn starch in making meat stuffing is the key to keep it juicer. This is the part I was always wondering and failed for a couple of times. right now I surely know

If you want a shortcut get Rhodes frozen rolls their dough makes a good wrapper.

Fab recipe. Cook the buns on a low heat otherwise the first batch may be rubbery.

@@denhan5713 Going from thinner to less thin, doesn't necessarily mean someone became fat... dude has bulked up a lot because he works out and plus as you get older, your metabolism isn't as active.

I have made these, but a different recipe, the one that I use cooks the filling first and let it cool, and slightly different filling ingredients, the dough recipe is the same, but cooking time is 12 minutes steamed, comes out like yours, fatty goodness in the dough 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘🦘
