So very NWOBHM!!! Not my favourite album of their’s but I like this song a lot. If you haven’t dove into Stained Class yet that’s a good one. White Heat, Red Hot, Stained Class and Heroes End are some great tracks!

Rob Halford said in an interview that he likes to keep the lyrics open to personal interpretation. In this one, the Jaw Breaker could be interpreted as a mythical figure (kind of like the Painkiller) or you could go straight for the sexual reference. BTW - KK & Glenn both are extraordinary lead players and they switch back and forth all over this album. Although they can both shred like crazy, typically Glenn has a more melodic & soulful approach and KK is more wild & crazy. I think it's on Freewheel Burning, where there are 7 parts to the solo and they are switching from one to the other.

I just received the movie of the same name today, Jawbreaker...lol Considering the storyline and theme of the Film, this song is a perfect theme song actually. Primo power metal at its best.

This seems to very much be about Rob being in the closet and looking to break free. Hence, the Jawbreaker...would be a large penis. Whatever your interpretation this is a phenomenal Priest track with some scorching lead work.
