Never will forget the "Screaming For Vengeance" concert in '82 (?) at the Greensboro Coliseum. Loud, leather, bikers and miscellaneous substances all around. Amazing to see at 14/15 and in 9th grade.

I really like this kind of comments, I saw when I was 15, but many years latter on the Epitaph tour and then saw them again some years later... what I'm trying to say is Judas still relevant and makes new generations of fans around the world, because their music is special and that is something really beautiful.

I saw that Show in Baton Rouge (I’m thinkin 81 - of course had the album and loved pounding my drums to it - 3 or 4 years older than you😉🤘) and it DID jam! Yeah, great times... 😁

I was at that exact same show in Greensboro. Yes it was awesome. I also went to the Defenders of the faith show there.

@@leehancock4469 I saw lots of great concerts there: ELO "Time," Billy Squire "Emotions," Rush "Moving Pictures," Ozzy "Diary Of a Madman," and probably the wildest was Ted Nugent swinging on a rope over the crowd, yelling and playing his guitar. Geddy Lee talked about a new song they (Rush) were working on and then played an unfinished version of "Tom Sawyer." I'm guessing that was around 80/81 (?). Lots of Bike gangs at the Rush concert. Around the same time that the Doobie Brothers had there 1st farewell tour. 🤣

This man is putting the one he does is more probably than you possibly ever imagine unless you stop doing what you’re doing right now and Go. and build a rocket ship that you can fly to the moon on by yourself that might get you close to the amount of energy and work with this man is putting to be in the Metal god

There is always the debate about who was/is/will be the best metal band. Sabbath started it, Maiden may be more popular, and Metallica have sold the most but IMO the almighty Judas Priest set the standard for what heavy metal is all about. The ultra sonic twin guitars of Glenn/K.K to Glenn/Ritchie, to now Ritchie/Andy (live anyway) paved way for all others to follow. You have THE GOAT of vocalist in Halford, then round it out with a pretty thunderous rhythm section with Ian and Scott. Top that off with the catalog of tunes they have and quite possibly the best live sound in metal which is not easy to pull off, and simply put, JP distance themselves from the pack as the GOAT's of this genre....PERIOD!!
