I just came across Johnson a few months ago, but have seen many video's since and he has had a few different looks Allright!! 🤭Bit strange to see him with an afro in 1 video and bold and dressed as an African tribes man in the next, was pure comedy on its own and he's getting funnier and funnier as hell and he's not punching down, any topic is fair game! I like his sense of humor, like I used to with Chapelle and Gervais, but both their Netflix specials were troubling, esp Gervais, joking abt handicapped people, I had to put it off and Chapelle needs some new material and stop fixating on the LGBTQ community. Once or twice was funny, now it's a pattern of the he doesn't know trans ppl, it's all stereotypical humor and he's so much better than that and hope he finds better material, like crooked politicians or the Hollywood elite, or just ppl in general, enough you can joke about, without hurting ppls feelings or sympathy, coz he can't be canceled, he's a millionaire! So it's all fake outrage too! Johnson is never hurting whole groups of ppl and he's funny as hell!!

Same judge demanded to sentence him and gave him 19 months, max 4 years. He'll get slapped with his new charges for assaulting the elderly before he gets out and will serve his time for that. Watch Court TV for the whole 13 minute interaction. You can get even more jokes. The prosecutor wanted 19 - 48 months because he escalated to battery with a deadly weapon. He had a laundry list of assaults and DVs. I think the prosecutor wasnt asking a lot of time because he had grown up in foster care and was never fully educated and has some mental health issues but as they note during this sentencing hearing (he was already found guilty) he already got kicked out of those violent offender treatment places. Plus, he already had a charge for assaulting a protected person. Also most of the bailiffs left parading a bunch of white guys shackled together out the court while his sentencing was happening. The guy in the suit was the stenographer. He was the first to intervene when this man cleared that bench. He was pulling him off of her when the bailiff came and they got him all the way off. But he didnt start beating him until the guy got the upper hand on both the 1st and 2nd bailiff. I hope you can here what the assailant is screaming as he leaves. It sounded like some NYC subway train ramblings. I don't know if he was talking some legends of Zelda or dragonball z or supernatural or what but dude sounded off his rocker. judge was knocked out for a minute though and it took a while for someone to say call 911

The guy who attacked the judge did go back to court in front of the same judge, and this time they had him restrained with some sort of muzzle and handcuffs and multiple guards. There was a picture online. I don't know what happened after that.

The case where the guy jumped the bench is actually really fucked up. He has bipolar disorder AND schizophrenia AND he'd not been given any of his medication since his incarceration. Of course he was going to react unpredictably. The even more fucked up update is that THE SAME JUDGE ended up seeing him again (which has got to be an obvious conflict of interest), but this time, the man was in chains and a muzzle, and something about seeing a black man trussed up the same way you would a dangerous dog while he's in court for shit he did *while the state withheld his medication* is just a nauseating example of how our justice system operates, and the fact that those contextual details got left out by a lot of news outlets just compounds it.
@Avarren
@Avarren Ай бұрын
But he WASN’T incarcerated before he attacked the judge. Did you notice he was in civilian clothing for that hearing? His unmedicated state has many possible reasons, maybe he couldn’t afford them, maybe he chose not to take them because unfortunately many severely mentally ill people are in denial of the severity of their condition, but it was NOT the state withholding anything. Of course he was shackled for the next hearing, he Supermanned over the bench and attacked a judge! And the spit mask was because he spat on at least one of the officers in the aftermath. The original judge sentenced him for the original crime he was convicted of, putting on the record that she had not changed her sentencing decision from what she had intended prior to his attack based on her notes from that day, and a different judge was put in charge of the subsequent charges for attacking her in order to **avoid** a conflict of interest.

I'm surprised you didn't mention how the guy had pleaded that he was in a better place now and that's why he didn't want to go back to jail. I'm not saying he was right for attacking the judge, but I can understand his frustration if what he said was honest.. that being said, I read he was originally gonna do less than a year. After this incident, I'm sure he'll be doing a few.

It's one of those stories where tragedy makes for hiliarity, and you told it very well! That video is a real snapshot into our time. The man is clearly athletically gifted, and he's done some terrible things. He also has severe mental illness in a country were getting treatment is very, very hard, and all the more for Black men, and that illness likely was a huge factor into the crimes he committed, including the courthouse attack. The courthouse attack is also telling, not because of what he did, but for the reactions of those around him. I don't know anything about this judge, but many judges, and those around them, are under threat of violence, and have been since well before the MAGA movement made it so public. I was reminded of the fact that many people in dangerous situations underreact because they think they know how bad the violence will be, that they know the limits of their attacker, and are unprepared for the violence to escalate. When I first saw the video, it made me incredibly sad, for the victims, for the man, for the judge and court staff, and it made me sad for all the people we'll fail in the future by not helping people like this man before anyone gets hurt. Thank you for helping me see a funny side to this. It's easy to become jaded and forget that we can still change things. A little levity really can make a difference.
