If I were the judge, I would've also given her a stern warning that writing another "book", this one allegedly involving the death of her husband (of whom she is currently on trial for the murder of), is a *very* poor choice, and that she cannot be surprised that if the jury were to hear that, even in trial, they would likely view it as damning evidence that she was at least attempting witness tampering. Edit: and also tack on that, whether she's in jail, or not, if she has another book to write, it will still be there after the trial.

Well, I hope that Richins' attorneys have advised her to stop writing letters that contain incriminating evidence against her, because while she is incarcerated in the county jail, she has no expectation of privacy. The jail personnel screen her mail, her phone calls, etc., and they're all recorded, and provided to the State prosecutors. Now, her defense has to do damage control, and that's what all this is about. They're trying to get that letter suppressed.
