You lock your child in a closet for an hour and a half you better believe they will get you for child abuse. How is this different?

Most people aren't aware that Restraint and Seclusion is allowed for special needs students in many, if not most school districts in the US. It's one of the reason we homeschool our child with disabilities.

Clearly the parents should be punished for letting their behave like this

If this happened to my special needs child, I would have told them that my child is not coming back to school here ever again and that I am keeping him or her home and homeschooling him or her. In this case, I have every right to contribute to truancy. The public school system is a joke. Locking a child in a closet should never be used as a form of punishment.

This is serious; however when we as a state celebrate an Abortion Van outside the DNC, tell me: what is the difference? Abuse is abuse not matter! Did our local media report that? If not, Why not?

Sadly, this is more common than people think. The only reason this was reported was being someone else reported it. Most of these special needs abuse cases never get reported because the victim is unable to say anything. At least those discriminated by race, color, or creed can speak out to defend themselves. For special needs individuals, it's essentially impossible. They have no mouth and they must scream.

Horrific.. Feel bad for that little girl. You trust people with yur child and that's what happened. Parents had to be mortified. Time for that bull###t to be removed from the schools behavior policy. Probably came from Cooper. Can we lock him in a closet....???

I hope the judge fines this district with a huge fine for the parents, and this teacher needs to find another job if you can’t take care of your classroom, this is completely unexceptionable, think of the thousands of teachers in the world that can handle their classrooms!

These schools deserve to get sued for damages and have a lawsuit against them too. Thumbs up if you agree with me.
