Funny how at the Huawei arrest case, the Trudeau office keep telling the chinese govt, that they will not interfere, as it is a criminal case, and the court of law is independent from political interference. Meaning they will not call, text, meet up or pressure the AG or the prosecution office to interfere with their decision. Now on this SNC case, which is also a criminal case, the PM and his crews turn 180 degrees, and say meetings and phone calls and text message to the Attorny General are totally ok.

This judge so nailed it. I'm mentally disabled and came to all the same conclusions - got the comments on other channels (that I follow) to prove it. This fake committee is a total fraud - = jurey rigging for sure. On the other hand, Trudeau's surprise at Jody's uncooperative stance is believable - she intervened in that case by her public disapproval statement about Boushie v. Stanley - the scales of justice must remain deaf dumb and blind, but Jody along with our PM sure, were, not. Their negative comments on the exoneration of Mr Stanley who shot and killed Colten Bushie (Indian) by accident is Sedition by our PM and Former AG. They both broke their oaths. Her as a member of the B.A.R. and both as our highest ministers in parliament. So, our poor Priminister has a good reason to be baffled. Trudeau - Oh My Left Sock!Jody Bill C-16 Raybould isn't doing what she usually does? We need to keep dividing Canadians and stirring the pot! I need everyone's help to destroy this country so I can become king of the world!

@@DWinegarden2 What are you talking about, she is refering to Wernicks and Butts's testimony, where they said they want to bring in other law experts to JWR, so she can review the SNC case again, because DPA is a new law and she needs help in understanding it. That's not the media, that's what they said. Now imagine telling the the AG, who is the expert in law, holds one of the highest position in law and establish new laws all the time, they are telling her that she need help in understanding a new law(DPA). That's like telling Messi or Ronaldo they need opinon of another football player to teach they how to play football. It's very insulting. They can't convince anyone by saying they don't have a agenda and all intentions was good, no one is going buy that.
@DWinegarden2
@DWinegarden2 5 жыл бұрын
David Huang if she was part of the Liberal team she would have never said anything to the media. They were just talking with her, she didn’t even change her decision. That’s what happens inside a political party, you have extensive discussions while you make your decision and then you keep that confidential and the position you made is what goes public. It’s called cabinet confidentiality! Trudeau is getting handed his ass for sure. But this kind of backstabbing could only happen from someone you trusted implicitly. Clearly, JWR has a secret agenda. Watch and see.

@@DWinegarden2 So PM and his crew wants to pressure the AG into stopping criminal charges and prosecutions on a criminal case to SNC, the AG did not cave in and disagree, then right after this she got demoted, and you expect her to remain slient? If she didn't make this public, the new AG the prime minister appointed could easily overturn the criminal charges and direct the office to give DPA to SNC without anyone giving a care, because no one knows about the scandle if she remained quiet. Now tell me, if no one make this public, the corporation would secretly escape criminal trial and just pay a fine to the government. All the evidents about the case would be lock down, and that is not justice.

The most galling part of this for me was how Jody Wilson-Raybould was prevented from speaking about anything after the shuffle, but Butts was free to speak about it as much or as little as he liked. The committee treated him like a pal, lobbing softballs at him and giving him ample time to run his spin job. Trudeau's government is trying to weasel out of accountability. Canada's government has already caused the flight of capital because of its policies that are anti-pipeline ... anti- oil ... anti-business. Now we have the problem of the business area not being a level playing field. How can a company expect to bid on contracts where SNC is involved and expect a fair outcome? 9000 jobs more important than maintaining the law? I think not. It might work in the short term but in the long term it means no one follows the law and that means everyone's job is at risk.

(much like the 5 former AG's have done). Do they l feel strongly enough about the rule of law to take some action? What actions are possible by those who are hired to up hold the law? What kind of campaign would it take to force a public inquiry and remove the power to oversee this scandal out of the hands of the Majority Liberal government being investigated? How can a majority government effectively investigate itself and the outcome be seen as legitimate?

Lets not get too excited with JWR and her "coming forward" with facts. There is more at play here where I think most Canadians refuse to use critical thinking. Bottom line...she is a liberal at heart. Her dad is a hard core liberal as well and very vocal about his hatred towards conservatives. For her to be a turn coat would create big issues in the family teepee. Everyone needs to keep in mind that SHE voted in favour of EVERY liberal bill that helped destroy Canada under Trudeau. She didn't blink and eye. She is no saint. Seriously, if this SNC debacle was so devastating to her, why did she not cross the floor? Here's some more food for thought....this is all a set up. Fact: The liberals know damn well that Tudeau is done. He won't get re-elected and they know that. What better person to prop up for a shot at the PM's position than an educated, intelligent, native american.......woman who was mistreated and made to look like a liar. This is the perfect storm and if they do it right, the Prime ministers position could very well end up in the palms of JWR. Theory? Sure. Highly possible? I think the true arrogance can found in the former attorney general’s inflexibility, anyone thinking that they are the ultimate authority on the law is clearly demonstrating an element of hubris. Refusing to keep an open mind on the issue goes against the protocol that is in place allowing for a decision to be made up to the final trial verdict. If the former attorney general was unaware of that fact then certainly seeking legal rational and clarity from a Supreme Court justice could only help improve her understanding of a complex issue. It looks to me like she tried to Me too the Prime Minister and unfortunately dragged another good minister down with her. By sept. 17 she had only been back in Canada for 5 days from her Australian Vacation and was likely not even over her jet lag, how much due diligence could she have really done, seeking expert legal advice on the issue should have been part of that process, instead it was playing on a Beach in Bali.

Why isn't anyone talking about the inappropriateness of snc lavalin helping to write the dpa legislation?

Fact. Raybould never filed her written report. Had she filed her report stating that she was not going to counter the DPP's decision to prosecute, the matter would have ended. As such, perhaps JWR hasn't been 100% honest because if she had in fact made her decision, then she failed to comply with the law as to its execution. If she had filed the report, then any further attempt to change her mind would have clearly been obstructive, but absent that final act by JWR, it was still open for discussion.

Well said judge. I personally did not believe a word he said. in my humble opinion that process is a waste of time because we cannot hear the full story and its to much a partisan process

Maybe, if you are as corrupt as SNC Lavelin has shown to be, you shouldn't get a pass? I mean, if you have that many charges even to the point of hiring sex slaves you should be prosecuted.

The prosecution in any case must remain OPEN to any new facts in a prosecution right up to the point of judgement by the court. Any lawyer who has ever run a criminal case knows they can discuss resolution at any time. The information coming to the PMO from SNC or anywhere else was fair play for the Minister to hear. If JWR was prepared to put her personal values ahead of anything on the SNC file why would she do the same in Indian Affairs? She finally had the chance to change the laws that have affected First Nations for over a hundred years but instead she wanted destroy the Liberal party.

Ken Tucker - This person has an axe to grind with Trudeau that’s why she’s misstating the law. She’s not a judge anymore because she stepped down when Justin Trudeau refused to put her on the Supreme Court of Canada last summer. She quit judging and took the prof job. Now she’s clearly saying things that will disqualify her a Liberal appointment to the bench so maybe she’s in bed with the PCs now. Because that is who she is helping.
