Personally I don't think so because she lied about the breed so yes she lost credibility but that only entitles them to the refund for the dogs because they didn't buy a breed they were inquiring about. However if they are sick but no one else's dogs are sick theres a high possibility the dogs got sick at there house. Maybe the doctor just went overboard I don't know.

Still doesn't mean she sold sick puppies though? Yes the evidence shows she misrepresented the breed, the evidence also shows none of the puppies were sick in her care - only after the plaintiffs brought the dog home. So she isn't responsible for the vet bills 😕

@@tamarahadiii Backyard breeder is a derogatory term that is given to people who sell kittens or puppies without "papers" for highly discounted price. Example being: This couple paid $500 for a "german shepherd". A registered "german shepherd" would cost $2500-$4000 which is obviously outside of people's budget and so AKC registered breeders have coined the term "backyard breeder" because they lose $$$$$ in business to people buying XYZ animal without paperwork. If you want a Golden Retriever or a Maine Coon kitten... unless you plan to show them you really do not care about papers but purchasing such puppies or kittens robs breeders off personal yacht payments and bi annual trips to hawaii and so term was born to describe regular people having puppies and kittens. Normally that happens when they buy from breeder and breach spay/neuter agreement and then begin breeding on own and that makes actual breeders even more livid because purebred animals are being sold for pennies on a dollar.

HOLY CRAP! When I was about 6 or 7 my older brother had a German Shepard and he called him "Champ" too! I was thinking about that because of this case. I'm the 5th of 6 siblings, 3 sisters, all older than me, one older brother, and the youngest, our baby brother. One day, something wild happened when we all ran outside after the dog. There was a kitten out on the street and Champ had no leash so he ran up to the kitten and went to bite it across it's back. My brother ran over to get him off the cat, which had arched it's back up into that attack pose that cats do and the cat just froze. It completely stopped moving and was like a statue! It wasn't bleeding and it didn't seem to have any bite wounds, but it still remained stuck in that arched-back pose even after my brother picked it up to see if it was hurt. I think they were holding me and our younger brother back because we were "too little"... That was also the reason why we didn't go with them to the animal hospital that they took the kitten to, because we were too little. *Later, when they came home the said the animal hospital said the cat had become petrified!* This was 1977 or 78 and I have never ever heard of such a thing since, or what my brother claimed they did to the petrified kitten at the hospital, which sounded like total science fiction!

I actually think it’s ridiculous that JJ wouldn’t look at the further statement from the vet explaining how long it would have taken since the puppy contracting the illness to start showing symptoms. This isn’t something that is necessarily written in the record itself but to completely discount it is ridiculous. If the puppy really did start showing symptoms 45 mins after they got home, that is NOT on the plaintiffs.

The puppy was probably just stress with the new environment and new people. Same thing happened to my dog 2 years ago whom I took in. He was fine and then when I got him he started throwing up, having diarrhea and lethargic. I thought he was going to die. he was also negative of parvo. Then after a week he was totally fine like nothing happened. Could be stress especially if puppy cane from a litter. Could be missing the other puppies.

They brought the puppy home sick. And, Parvovirus is the number one cause of viral enteritis in dogs. The Defendant lied about the breed. Parvo or not, they had a lot of vet bills from a puppy they IMMEDIATELY took to the vet. It was sold to them with a virus and there's no disputing that.

I think the puppy was just stress with the new environment new people. When I took in my shih tzu 2 years ago he was fine first couple of days then he started having diarrhea, and vomiting. He was also lethargic I thought he was gonna die. He is fine now. Happy and healthy 😊

Here’s my thing. The plaintiffs all of a sudden complaining that the puppy was a mix. I’m almost willing to believe they knew. They didn’t even bother to go see the puppy they were gonna buy or requested actual pics of the pups. Had their puppy not gotten sick, we wouldn’t be here. They’re only bringing up the mix breed now because the pup got sick and died. Idk who would BLINDLY drop money like that and the $500 was in their price range because the male plaintiff said this was a reasonable price. The female plaintiff so savvy with the internet…I know they looked up how much a pure breed Shepard is. Google tell you almost anything you want or know. That’s why they went with this lady. You can pay $1500 plus for a pure bred and they didn’t want to.
