Richard, bro, you so need a Kreg Foreman for projects like that. One of my best tool purchases ever. I make like 20 cabinet face frames a week in a one-man shop and it's a huge time saver. Tip: fasten a small block (2x2) of hard maple to one jaw of your Kreg Quick Clamp and self-adhesive cork to the other jaw. Place the block on the "show face" side and the cork jaw on the screw side. Clamp and screw. Makes the show faces align perfectly even when slight thickness variations exist... which is always. Buen trabajo, como siempre.

I found that gluing the butt joints before pocket screwing stops the whole wainscot panel from splitting when your carrying it to the installation spot, the caveat is you need to let the glue dry, so use a fast setting glue like Titebond premium, set quick 5-7 minutes.

As always very well explained. I have one question that is probably a minor issue but could add up. It appears you measure your stop block from the center not from the tooth. If this is correct do you account for the 1/16 when you set up the stop block. For example if you want 17 1/4 do you set your stop to 17 5/16? It seems like with 6 pieces you would be out 3/8 from one end to the other.

@kassidysutphin60944 жыл бұрын
The dimensions for work like this is hell, it'll never be completely perfect unless the room itself was built with doing this in mind, it'll be wall length. Minus casing width, and 7 inches for the first and last stile, divided by the number of panels, for the width and the height is normally around 30 to 40 inches for the bottom, and 1 third the height for the top panel ratioed to the bottom one
