I really appreciate you being honest about how you feel about your monolids. You’re the first influencer I’ve followed that has the same monolid shape as me! I find that a lot of other influencers with monolids don’t have the excess fat/skin on their eyelid so your makeup tutorials and IG pics make me feel a lot more confident about my eyes!! I’ve actually been thinking about getting eyelid surgery as well (not to get doublelids but to make my eyelids less droopy). There’s no judgement from me bc I totally understand and I would love if you talked more about your feelings/journey about this if you’re comfortable :)

Even when you dont wear makeup your eyeballs look so big and they are overall very cute. I have double eyelids and there are so many makeup looks that wont work for me.I cant wear eyeliner the way that I want to because my eyeshape is very almond-like and it looks weird. Also no matter how much work I put into my eyeshadow, when i look straight forward it looks like a smudge. So I think that your eyes are lovely.

I on the other hand, believe that soulmate exists but your soulmate doesn’t have to be your significant other. It can be your family or your best friend. I feel like we all have facial features that we don’t like. I think the best way to feel okay about them is realizing that none of it matters. We never would have hated our features or appearances if some other insecure person didn’t point it out, ya know? I like to have that child hood mentality and return to that place within me when I didn’t care about what I looked like, and when I never even looked in the mirror to pick myself apart. It also helps to just be grateful to even have eyes to see, a nose to smell, lips to smile, etc. My body is just a home/vessel for this beautiful soul (or mind if you aren’t spiritual) ya know? Not dismissing insecurities though, just sharing why realistically, there is no reason to actually hate or dislike a piece of myself.

I thought you're monolid is sooo charming when I was first saw you on instagram. So i followed you, And I thoght you really proud of yourself about it, but after hearing you said about your monolid, i really felt sad... i hope you love youself. I honestly feel the same about my monolids and has been thinking about getting a similar procedure to lift my lids. I love how unique monolids look but sometimes if im not wearing makeup I look sleepy/mad even when I’m not. I think it’s totally fine to have those thoughts or if you want to get them, as long as it’s a decision you’ve been thinking for while and won’t regret it.
