Praise God that we endure only through His righteousness. I would suggest however that the gospel is not to love God and love people, but rather that is the summary of the requirements of the law. The gospel is that we can be called righteous despite failing to fulfill the law, because of what Christ has done

The simple gospel is faith in Jesus Christ’s righteousness who died for our sins on the cross and paid for our redemption (righteousness) with his blood, so that in the day of judgment we will not be condemned.

This is how I feel too. I feel like Jesus is going to be disappointed with me. But I think focusing on Him and what He’s called you to do is important. To do all things for His glory because you want to obey Him and be a light in the world. Not,”I hope I get rewarded for this.” Daily repentance and asking God to help you do it for His glory rather than your own. It is something I struggle with as well.

Paul knew that he would receive the crown of righteousness & he knew the qualifications too. 2 Timothy 4:7-8. So Christian brothers be careful that you don't drift away as is pointed out in Hebrews or else we can arrive in heaven and not receive any rewards. Hebrews 2:1. If I was being persecuted & told to deny Christ, I would think that the rewards would be very motivating to keep the faith. Actually the rewards help me to have boldness when witnessing and to not be ashamed when I am mocked for my faith. It's not that I am doing it for the rewards, but it helps! Furthermore, if God thought that we aught to be rewarded for certain deeds then surely it's ok for us to use rewards as part of our motivation.

Hi @@seansswamp. I'm so happy to hear that you decided to be a Christian! Where are you from? What attracted you to Christianity? Here are some basics about the faith, just incase you don't know. The Bible says that we are saved by grace though faith and that there is no work we can do that will save us, Ephesians 2:8. Anyone who wants to be saved from their sins, can be. The only thing a person has to do is believe in Jesus, John 3:16. After you are saved, there is nothing that you can do that will separate you from the love of God. 1 John 1:9, Hebrews 10:17 Sorry if what I said in my original post was confusing. The Bible says that once you are saved you are saved and there is no sin that can make you loose your salvation. God is trustworthy and he will never turn his back on you. When he says "believe on me and you will be saved" you can trust that promise without a doubt. Rewards is another matter, it is something for mature Christians to think about. Keep learning and you will understand this soon. Do you have a Bible? Is there a local church you can attend? Keep listening to Mike Winger, he has many excellent teachings.

What good news😩 I feel like crying right now. I don't see why people reject God/Jesus, it's truly heartbreaking. Why? Because you want to be sexually liberated? God doesn't want us to sin for our OWN protection both physical and spiritual. Are we expected to be sinless/perfect after we've been saved? Absolutely not! But I will tell you the holy spirt will convict you, you will feel a level of guilt after you sin and will want to repent. My only sin I've every really had issues with was fornication, even after being saved I slipped up twice- but the only reason that was twice and not thirty times is because of the holy spirit. I am so beyond thankful to Elohim for his mercy and sending Yeshua to be the ultimate sacrifice for all of us.

Hi Mike! I'm writing a book on life after death and how it relates to Jesus's return. I have a chapter that touches on the topic of this video, and I feel like we're basically saying the same thing. I really appreciate your ministry, and I'm thankful that so many people are learning from you. I may not agree with you 100% of the time, but the seldom times I disagree, I don't feel like it's anything major. I'm currently going through the editing phase with the publisher with my first book. There is a ton of confusion already when it comes to understanding the Bible and especially prophecy. I do not want to add to that confusion. That's the exact opposite of what I'm trying to accomplish with my book. I know you're incredibly busy, but I believe you'd provide some genuine feedback and critique. I've been working on this book for a little over 9 years now, but I"m completely open to not publishing it, if it can be shown that it goes against the Word of God in any way. So far the biggest critiques I've received from other pastors/authors is that I'm too young or it goes against what the leaders of the Reformation taught. However, Martin Luther was 33 when he nailed his 95 theses to the door, and I'm 37. Also, Martin Luther, William Tyndale, and John Wycliffe all believed in soul sleep, but that is not what most Protestant churches teach today (thankfully). Neither my age nor my alignment with fallible men have any relevance to whether my understanding of the inerrant Word of God is correct. It's relatively short (about 72 Word pages). I truly believe it will greatly edify the body of Christ and give people confidence in what the Bible teaches concerning life after death and end-times prophecy. If I'm wrong, then this is an opportunity to prevent a false teaching from being published or to be prepared to debunk it for your subscribers if I were to take the unbiblical position of refusing your correction. Please prayerfully consider my request and may God continue to bless you and your ministry!

The church was bought with God’s blood - Acts 20:28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Jesus said - “The Father and I are one.” - John 10:30 The Pharisees knew that Jesus claimed himself to be God - John 10:33 - “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.” John 5:18 - This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God. I hope this helps you. There are many other verses in scripture that say or imply that Jesus is equal with God and that he is God. If you want those I can give you those as well but it's a lot to read.

Mike, can you please speak to judgement day for those who did hear of Jesus, perhaps were turned off by the rampant bad behavior of "christians" in the USA, or perhaps turned off by the harsher elements of the Bible that seem to contradict? Please tell me if someone who dies in that condition, but lived a life that looked like he was a strong believer in not just the old testament but in Jesus, will be judged and perhaps saved by God in the end? One thing that saves me from doing that is I prayed, I repent(repenting is not just asking for forgiveness of your sins but to decline and avoiding to do that sins anymore). So keep believing, keep trusting, stay rooted to His words and accept truly Jesus Christ as the Lord and a saviour of your life. There is a film of hell. The film is called "Night of the Living Dead (1968). On Judgement Day the dead whose souls are in hell will rise and eat the flesh of the wicked. The Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath. Christ made it very clear that its never a bad time to love and to do good works. No "day" should be held in higher regard to another. Christ made it clear that the tradition of men is vain. As for the idea of rest: I like to think of it as a commandment that at least 1/7 of the time spent awake should be spent entering into our prayer closet, into His rest, and into His Word. I am a firm proponent in rising early and working hard into the night, but it is a wise decision to take at least one day a week and leave it wide open to receive day-long peace from the chaos of the lives we live.

How about not being good to people in any way? That's good works too... But if you do nothing good at all, I would say it is likely that you do not trust Christ who commands love, and so don't have faith anyway. Faith in the Bible is not intellectual, but means trusting God.

I think that in and of itself is a part of feelings in your heart, not actual "works". That is one of many parts of the bible that I wish was more clear and succinct. There are so many parts of the bible that can be interpreted in various ways. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I consider a "work" as an intentional act that God would approve of that you had to put effort into. Your thoughts??

@@Sealust50 We can be a bit more nuanced. Maybe it's works when you're good to people beyond what you'd otherwise be naturally inclined to do. But it's difficult to make a clear distinction here, since we are being transformed in our thinking by the influence of the Holy Spirit continually, if we have faith, ie trust in God. Plus Biblical faith means a trust that wants to obey God's/Christ's commands, so the faith-works distinction is somewhat misleading anyway.

1 Cor. 3 talks about planting the seed...working for the Kingdom and not about one's personal deeds in this world. You do not loose salvation for that, but loose rewards. But God will judge according to our deeds without regards to who you are. Mat. 7:21-23 is one of the passages as well as many others. Romans 2:6-11 KJV - Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is NO RESPECT OF PERSONS with God. 1 Peter 1:17 KJV - And if ye call on the Father, who WITHOUT RESPECT OF PERSONS judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning [here] in fear: Colossians 3:25 KJV - But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is NO RESPECT OF PERSONS. Revelation 20:11-15 and Galatians 2:16 spell out the “second judgement”: Those who have rejected Christ as Lord and Savior are judged based on their works alone, and since “by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified” they will be condemned at The Great White Throne regardless of the goodness of their works. There’s no “judgement”. The decision’s pre-made. Eternal doom. That’s what your Holy Book says so it MUST be true...so say the faithful. Judgment was only in the context of covenant creation that was Ancient Israel. There is no such thing as Divine Judgment outside of Ancient Israel. If we look at the whole world through the narrative of the world of Ancient Israel, which was a world-within-a-world, a world created under covenant, a kind of matrix, then we will end up confusing the two and the distinction between the two and this is what you are doing with biblical judgment. We are not the audience of the Bible, Ancient Israel is. Jesus said that each (in Israel) would judge himself. Judgment in the context of Ancient Israel was of the old covenant man in Adam, which had been perishing and finally perished in AD 70. The works of that world and the wisdom of that world was judged and they perished. So any soul attempting to stand before God in that old covenant identity, perished IN THAT IDENTITY in AD 70. Since all souls were born in Adam, then all lost their souls in Adam. However, since all souls were saved in Christ it remained only for them to experience their salvation in their souls, by reckoning it to themselves. Thus those who believed on Christ, found their soul again in Christ and experienced the gaining of their soul (legacy and status). Whereas those who did not believe on Christ, did not experience finding their soul again in Christ --obviously-- but experienced the losing of their soul (in legacy and status). The unbelieving Jews, condemned themselves because they were attempting to stand before God in their own righteousness. The shame of their nakedeness appearred to them. Thus although they remained unaffected in spirit, in the life-of-this-life, they experience shame and anguish and torment .of soul This was an historic shame.

Because God is relational and is a God of love he has to have always had someone else to love. Thus you have the Godhead, the Trinity. This is probably too simplistic but I think the family is a picture of the Trinity. A family is made up of two or more members but it is still only one family unit.
