WOW! That voice is unbeatable! Such a departure from The Seekers style, but an absolutely fantastic sample of her beloved jazz style that was her background. Thanks for posting this!

The Seekers hit it big and Judith was prevented from pursuing her jazz career for several years, but the "trad" fad was running its course, with many talented players and singers about to be sidelined. The Seekers were unique and took off in a way Judith never would have otherwise, and jazz's loss was the world's gain. I say that though nonetheless am a big fan of two current New Orleans jazz bands, Tuba Skinny and The Shotgun Jazz Band. Both highly popular, more than talented bands, who will eventually fade into history, before the Seekers do.

Judith is an absolute natural at layin' down some real smooth jazz.....I do declare!

Great to hear this. I can't understand why the contributor used photos of the Seekers when this was performed long before Judith joined the group. Surely photos of Frank Traynor's Jazz Preachers whould have been far more appropriate.

On the other hand, tit for tat, so often we hear about "Judith Durham and the Seekers ", as if the boys were nothing more than Judith's backing band. But two wrongs don't make a right, I suppose.....
