I used to work at a restaurant in midtown Manhattan and she use to come in for lunch several days a week. She liked to talk so we had several conversations. She's a cool lady. She looks a little better for a TV appearance than in person. She likes her salad dressing on the side and she likes plain bread. Cool to see her on this show.

Oh my God, she is seriously so sweet and so easy to interview. Just a delight. I loved her on "Who's the Boss?" and "One Life to Live" before that...most recently I know her from "Save Me" - and amazing film with an lgbt/Christian story line, with Chad Allen and Robert Gant. Truly one of my favorites films ever!

I also have a Judith encounter story. I moved to Sedona, Arizona, in 1990. I was one of the lucky ones, I was told, because I landed a job at a crystal store. I waited on Judith as I rang up her purchases. Unfortunately, out of the many celebrities I met, she was not a pleasant one. She spoke very haughty to me, with a coldness that surprised & saddened me. I had adored her sitcom "Who's the Boss?" I took EST, but I walked out of it. She's right, entertainment is a cult. LOL on the CBS logo dig!

I think I know what you mean. My husband and I spent a couple of days between Christmas and New Years in Venice a few years ago. We turned a corner and I saw a small entourage leaving a restaurant, and in the middle, Sir Elton John. I had loved him as a kid and it was incredible to see him. My husband quietly and casually asked one of his people if we could take a picture ... not that they stop for a pose, but that we run ahead and snap a shot as they continued walking. We were told "no", as he has so many problems with paparazzi. Fine, we respected his privacy. But what struck me was that Elton, never even looking in our direction, had a look of great disdain. "These annoying fans", I imagined he was thinking. I was thinking, "right, these annoying fans who made you incredibly rich and successful". Anyway, I have since tried to overlook the event, reasoning that Elton John at times probably does have fans who are pushy or who make him feel uncomfortable. My point is: all of these stars are human first. They have good days and bad days. They forget that they aren't so different from the rest of us. In the case of Judith Light, I do recognize her great efforts for humanitarian and civil rights causes.

g cecg What a story! Yes, isn't it weird that celebrities put on airs? I was amply blessed by living in Sedona for seven years, even if it meant only having menial jobs. My prior professions did not transfer to a tourist town. I saw people with PhDs working at these minimum wage jobs, and I realized certainly I could do the same. No matter my status in life, I'd never imagine I was better than those who waited on me. I learned very quickly that people dump on those they perceive to be inferior to themselves. I did meet some celebs who were guarded, but that only makes sense. I've had many who were interacting with me just as people, and even had one hitting on me. One famous movie film actress marched up to me (she looked very different in person) and introduced herself. She wanted me to drop everything, stop waiting on the customers ahead of her, and pay attention to her. I agree, it would seem that stars would have some appreciation for their fans. The paparazzi I can understand his entourage wanting to stay away. But to obviously see contempt is hard (!). I am glad that Judith is a philanthropist. I visited Venice once, it was so enchanting. Blessings to you and your husband.

The elite of Hollywood bathe in the blood of innocent starlets once a year at a party, usually thrown at Walt Disney's mausoleum, where they thaw his head and he leads them in a Dark Mass to the Lord of Film, Oskar, and they dance at the feet of his idol.

EST..oh, wow!..and me, being 1 or 2 'new age' generations later, after her and that of many others' EST experience..and it didn't seem to mean: Eastern Standard Time.. yet, i *still* don't know what it means..maybe i never checked on purpose?? was it a time before wikipedia existed??..who knows?...some guy named werner earheart (sp??)..and later guys like osho, then the eckheart people. but i met a wonderful lady named, at that time, ginny wright davis..and her first name - i remeber it had an unusual spelling - but please forgive me if didn't recall it correctly..and anyway, loved her sunday church/meditation services - what an experience!..even when they were reduced to twice monthly..and then, once monthly...and some years later i learned of a full name change..must have been an amazing transition..would love to talk with her today.. though, no idea where spirit has her assigned these days... anyway, judith light being on the show has reminded me of the primary light!.. a very cool effect, a very nice reminder of what's important. :-)

ive waited on many celebrities, all were just like the rest of my customers. some had good days, bad days, some in a hurry and some wanted to talk. once in 1995, Lauren Bacall caught ME having a bad day and just ignored the fact (it was 30 minutes before closing time and I locked the secondary entrance right as she walked up to it. she tapped on the door and I just pointed at the other entrance with a scowl look on my face). My favorite was Demi Moore, so adorable in her black and white striped shirt pushing a stroller and pregnant as well, she reminded me of a bee for some reason. she was so nice, we talked for a few minutes and she let me keep her receipt after she signed her autograph on it. sorry your experience was bad with this one.
