Jimmy Pedro is one of the best American judokas of all time, he competed in 65 and -73 kg weight categories he is 1 time World champion and 2- time bronze medalist, he also won 2 Olympic bronze medals. He had great Sode Tsurikomi Goshi and was one of best Tai Otoshi masters in the World, J. Pedro also had deadly ne waza skills.

I think he was one of the best newaza guys in the 90s He couldn't beat world champion Yukimasa Nakamura When he was in the 65kg division But after moving up to the 73kg, he beat Yukimasa's brother,Olympic champion Kenzo,several times

Jimmy Pedro and Travis Stevens are both very accomplished American judoka. But one name that not too many mention is Kevin Asano 1988 Olympic Judo Silver Medalist. He actually should have probably won the gold medal except for a controversial decision.
