A friend of mine have recently started talking non-stop about martial arts. We will begin Judo together as soon as this is over. Haven't been to a Judo club for 16 years. Hope my overweight and rigid 28 year old body will cope and I can find the same pleasure in Judo now, as I did as a kid. Warm regards from Denmark :)

I honestly think it makes sense for people to know some judo at any age. Judo should be encouraged for women and girls imho. A yellow belt alone has some excellent Judo attributes that get expanded upon in higher rankings. Judo can change your life for the better. A judo gi isn't hard to come by and many clubs let potential judoka try out for a couple of sessions. I wear knee supports as well so there is less strain on my joints in certain throws. In 2021, I'm going to see a friend in Tokyo and will also take the opportunity to attend classes at the Kodokan. Moe Oye in Winnipeg is still teaching Judo and is 83 years old. You can do it!

Not really a belt level, but if you're a paid athlete (your National organization pays you to train) I guess you would be considered a pro athlete
