No offense Shintaro, but your logo looks a lot like swastika… I am not a lefty lib, but it really resembles one

Also I checked out your gi. I am interested in buying, but I would like to see a size chart and the details of the fabric - what it’s made from? 100% cotton? 70%/30% synthetic blend? To be fair I see the 450GSM info on weight/thickness.

@@anvark.1441 it's definitely not a swastika. more like japanaese inspired logo.. the looks like inc marks. i do prefer the white and red Higashi logo more.. because its well designed but i don't see the black one as swastika either.

For me, the most challenging part of judo is gaining the correct position. Once you're in the right position, you apply the throw. Period. I would also like to see the judogi size chart. I'm interested too.

This might be the best judo video I have ever seen. Moves are whatever, like giving a man a fish. This video is teaching us to fish.

Just did this kind of training coincidentally yesterday. Most challenging part of judo/wrestling is to move your opponent towards the throw that you are trying to do, but with this playful method it seems more approachable. Thanks for the video!

Yes, it's always good to move people round when they are loose and play ball. Shifting a 20 stone defensive lump in randori is another matter!! 😂 work in progress. Physical chess my Sensei calls it! 🥋👍

Steve Scott says that judo is about exerting your will on your opponent - I want you to go there, like this!

Love these types of drills - it fits well in the CLA / eco game space that is popular in the BJJ world without being too far of a divergence from traditional judo

I am new to Judo but I have a lot of experience in basketball and dancing. This is basically the Basketball Jab step from Pivot foot (from MJ). Basically you take initiative and create an angle and a change of pace. In this way you force the defense to make a move to realign. By doing that, you open them to mistakes (Timing/balance/distance). Then you read which opening the defense gives you and react attacking the opening (Read&React). This is superior to any de-contextualised attacks, since they can go well only if the defense reacts as expected. As a dancer I like the Walzer-like steps. XD I noticed that the ability to see figures in rotation and not in a straight line, and understanding balance of both, and where the weight is placed is also really handy.

Very satisfying to watch, but less clear than what you call the "boring" videos from my beginner's eyes

Hi Sensei Shintaro, love your content! Would be willing to do a Judo Fanatics course on this topic? i.e. Finding angles of attack, adjusting position, feinting, etc. Oss!

Great video! I would be very interested in another video, which puts a little more details into this, e.g. which highlights where exactly which kind of angle has been created (Maybe augment with some arrows?). I found it quite hard to follow everything on full speed, especially since some details are easier to feel than to see, must be even harder for a beginner / intermediate.
