Thank you for giving Judy some well-deserved love. Though it’s not a musical, watch her in Judgement at Nuremberg. It’s a relatively small amount of screen time, but she’s a powerhouse. What a talent…what a lady…what a treasure.

Judy Garland was and is Great and left a treasure of music and movies. You must see "In The Good Ole Summertime" , The Harvey Girls", "Meet Me in St Louis ",Easter Parade" although Fred Astaire is old enough to be her father. And also " A Star is Born" the restored version after they cut many scenes in its first debut at theaters. She is a true Great artist and singer. 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆

Great podcast- no one captures the range and depth of emotion in their acting and singing as does Judy - each song is an opera, taking the viewer on a journey of feeling and multiple states of being in the space of 2-3 minutes

Thank you! Judy truly was a one of a kind talent. Through recording and editing this episode, I have become such a fan of hers. Excited to watch more of her filmography.

‘I could go on singing’ is worth watching to understand sixties Garland. Stand out performance is ‘By Myself’

I would recommend all of Judy's filmography but I would especially say for you to watch Summer Stock. Also I would very highly recommend listening to her Grammy winning album, Judy at Carnegie Hall, which has come to be known as "The greatest night in show business history"

Thanks for this appreciation of the Garland artistry. I really enjoyed it. As to what you might watch now, I'd recommend "For Me and My Gal" and "Broadway Melody of 1938." The first is maybe her first mature role after "Oz." She is radiant in it and her singing is killer. t's also Gene Kelly's first movie, and he and Miss G. are a delight together. As to "Broadway," I'd watch only Judy Garland's sections, particularly her "Dear Mr. Gable" number, which really put her on the map. The rest of the movie is fairly mediocre. Thanks again.
