Thanks bro! I was happy with them. Hopefully there's more to come!

That deadlift form looked like one of those "live to fight another day" days. I have 2 or 3 of those each year, but I bail during my short warm-up run. After a certain age, those days lead to certain injury.
@TheCarterHomeGym Жыл бұрын
Absolutely agree with you, Brian. Unfortunately, I've had to learn the hard way. I bailed after that set though lol.

@@TheCarterHomeGym Yeah, I think everyone that learns that lesson learns it the hard way.

Absolutely awesome recap. I am stoked for you on that 315lb bench man. That’s huge!

Thanks Phillip! I'm stoked about it too! I'm going to try to get my squat up next.

I hope that shoulder heals up soon. There’s a lot to be said about just hanging it up for the day if you’re not feeling it. I had one of those workouts last week. Nice job on the GGC.
@TheCarterHomeGym Жыл бұрын
Thanks HGHR! I've had to learn the hard way with that. I find It's better to get some rest and come back the next day, rather than hurt myself and have a major set back. Thanks for the support, as always!

Lol...Old man deadlifts! You could see the difference though, as the set before looked masterful. To find out you hadn't hit 315 with regular grip prior to hitting that close grip is even more impressive man! Congrats!

The deadlifts did look terrible 😂 It just wasn't my day. Thanks, I'm really happy with my bench press. That's been a lift I've been on the verge of 315 for a couple years now. I'd get close, then regress, get close again, so on and so forth. I'm curious to see what I can get with my wider grip. After I finish my peak I'm going to focus on my squat to see if I can't get it over 400. Thanks for checking in!

Congrats on the 315 close grip That’s fantastic!! I know what u mean on the deadlifts . Your smart to call it when it don’t feel right . I’m getting that old man back myself . I’m trying to be more careful myself . Sorry I missed this .

Thanks Wilson! I actually tweaked my QL a little on the deadlift PR at the end of the video. It was tight for several days. I took a break from lifting this week because of some pretty intense training for work, so it kinda worked out. It's feeling a lot better today. How's your back feeling?
@wilsong4096 Жыл бұрын
@@TheCarterHomeGymcongrats on the deadlift PR and all other PRs as well ! I hope your QL heals up quickly. Yeah mine is by no means great but it’s not completely dehabilitating like it was so baby steps on that

@@wilsong4096 Thanks dude! I appreciate that. That's good to hear! You'll be back to deadlifting 3000 lbs soon enough lol.

Have you tried using the cambered grip bar for your shoulder press? Might be even less straining for the shoulders, cool vid!
@TheCarterHomeGym Жыл бұрын
I actually haven't. And come to think of it, it would probably allow me to do a standing OHP without my plates hitting the ceiling. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching man! ✌️

Awesome lifts . Just noticed no isolator ?
@TheCarterHomeGym Жыл бұрын
Thanks Oscar! Yeah, I still have it. I used it for some leg extensions on a day I didn't record, but not much else. I'm still thinking of a way to have it setup with it's own post for ease of setup and use. Also, I'm still waiting on that rack attached adjustable roller so I can do seated hamstring curls without flipping the carriage.
