Glad to see Piotr in your video, dude deserve some respect because he has inspired few people in Poland. To be honest as teenager i started following "polish ae86" trend created by him and his friends, now im on same ship and im working on my own Polonez from scratch. Car is terrible overall but when you are doing something more than basic maintance can teach you a lot of stuf.

actually there are, or at least were more 86 inspired poloneze's here in poland. there was one with a full initial d knock off panda livery, another one with panda livery and jdm bits like levin front grille, ssr rims, nardi wheel, bride seats, all those different jdm bits and pieces, some other one that was recently for sale with black bumpers and once again some custom jdm parts, wheels, etc. seeing the polonez as a "polish ae86" has become a pretty popular thing within younger people here, who buy these cheap and turn them into wannabe jdm builds either aimed for street drifting or an interesting show car.

I'd like to see more of Adam's BMW centric knowledge and tips, JDM cars are cool but when you're from a country where you cut up and scrapped these cars in the 2000s/2010s the less common stuff does become more interesting

ae86 is not just a specific car its an idea, a style of any old cheap underdog car that outperforms more expensive ones, if the actual ae86 became to expensive it got replaced by other cars with same aura that are cheap, makes perfect sense

@@piotrekserafin5577 It only got expensive in the last 5 years or so and I don't actually believe in those prices. Maybe someone sometimes accidentally sells something to software engineer for a sick price, but I doubt most transactions on Polonez would exceed 1 thousand euros. I know I wouldn't pay much more for a car that just a few years ago was available for less and is objectively technically much worse than MX-5 or BMWs. The only advantage Polonez has is that the body is actually safer than that of BWM E36. because in Polonez engine bay gets squashed but the cabin really doesn't give up, while in E36 even low speed crash may end up with broken A pillar and driver stabbed by it.

You whas in my city Kraków and speek with Piotrek seen his AE 86 and FSO Polonez "Tomato" my friend Sebastian whas doing 2 swaps in this Car . First with Rover 1.4 16V 103 Hp . Then Sebastian swaped 1.8 Engine from MG ZR 160 HP to This car. Stock Polonez's whas make with 1.4 16V rover engine from 1994-1998 . From 1994-1997 in FSO Polonez Caro/ATU "1.4 GLI 16V Multipoint Injection" then form late 1997 to early 1998 in Lifed FSO Polonez Caro/ATU plus whas caled like VW 1.4 GTI Multipoint injection In Polish slang FSO cars with 16V rover engine we caled "Szesnacha" from 16 Valve . These cars with Rover engines around 2000 were very cheap and were used for street drifting and various events. The entire interior where removed, the rear differential was welded and 103 horses seemed like not much, but considering the weight, it was enough. Now these cars are practically extinct and are very expensive in Poland, and the price, unfortunately, is not adequate to the level of this car. To buy stock Polonez with 1.4 engine not swapped with no rust you must payed aroud 8-15K Polish złotych ... (Prices depend on the additional equipment of the car) When back in the day cars with mileage below 100,000 KM from the first owner in practically like new condition, it was bought for 2K Polish złoty. For reference, the minimum wage in Poland was then 2.5K Polish zlotys and now it is 3.2K Polish zlotys. So, unfortunately, it's hard to buy something nice, especially when you live in Polish conditions where, unfortunately, everything is terribly expensive and wages are average...

37lbs those are some heavy wheels. The 20x9's cast aluminum wheels I have are bout that, also too heavy. Always prefer to get a light wheel if I can, still not too light the roads here in Michigan are wheel killers.
