@@juiceboxforyou Tbh it was annoying af when you kept calling Poland the Soviet Union. For us it's like calling Irish people English except there is much more real tension between the poles and the russians. Guys from nightright are cool and didn't care that much but please be more mindful about topics like this, especially when you don't really know the facts.

@@tinydiccbandito4953 Glad the guys at nightride are down to earth, live in the real world, and aren't like you. They understand that not everyone is privy to the geopolitical positions of countries they do not live in and understand that these guys are not trying to offend them, so do not take it seriously. Anyone that is not a terminally online weirdo understands this.

New to the channel, have seen your stickers for years and years and didn't know! You did a great job capturing the polish culture and how new the car scene is there. I've watched a lot of KZbinrs go to the nightride shed and in my opinion yours was the most enjoyable. You actually asked some great questions and caught some things that I hadn't seen in any other videos.

@juiceboxforyou I’m sure you didn’t want to offend anyone (and props for the Nightride boys for being polite and not jumping at you straight away) but just for the record: Poland was never part of the Soviet Union. It stopped at the eastern Polish border and what is now Ukraine and Belarus. Calling Poland part of USSR is a big nono and a potential broken nose ;-) Otherwise great content!

One thing about the lada you said "they were pretty diposable" is absolutely wrong. The people who bought a lada, thats all they could afford be it soviet times or since, they were built v simple so were simple to fix. Not brilliantly made by any means(especially in later years as the design aged and changed from the original Fiat 144, IIRC, design they bought) but simple to fix Also they don't suffer as bad with rust as they do here cos the colder(in winter) countries with ice and snow for a few months or half the year don't salt the roads.. They also dont have as humid or rainy weather with 30+ being common in summer. Many were kept in (makeshift mostly) garages too so there are some fairly clean old ones still bashing around especially in Ukraine, belarus and still eastern/cis/ru leaning economies. You'd be amazed how many are still going as dailies. When i was last in Kyiv about 10 years ago almost every second car was a lada.. though it was changing slowly to more dacias and smal chevrolet(Daewoo). Fancy bars and such would have ferraris and v12 biturbo mercs and all sorts and in the middle of them or at the next business on the street would be lada lada daewoo.. V odd to see. Lots of odd stuff too, like I have short clip of a stretched ferrari f430.. That was in Ukraine.. Odd but great place.

I actually have a 3.xL Mercedes ML in Poland with Turbo mod and it also has LPG in it. When I drive it on gasoline then the needle goes down like crazy but when I drive it on LPG with it's 48L bottle, the STAG 300 LPG system uses lasts me for 700km. Unfortunately yesterday I was driving it 60kmh under the 90kmh speed limit and there was like black ice on the road and I started slipping and crashed it into a tree. Luckily I and my friend survived the crash and I was so slow that only the hood, bumper, radiator and front suspension broke and the airbags didn't deploy. The car even drove out of the ditch and on the towing trailer. I sold it today in the morning for 5000pln and currently I have to drive my old Audi A6 C5 2.5 TDI V6 which doesn't have LPG but I flashed my homemade map and a full gas tank when driven at a speed between 110 and 125kmh, lasts me for 1500km which made me paranoid in the beginning because it was so unreal and felt like it was like it's running on fumes. I bought it with 64.800km and currently I'm at 292.500km
