When this car is finished there should be an internationally recognized day of rest celebrating the reincarnation of Neil’s trueno

Jackie is amazing. The fact hes such a perfectionist for a motor thats not even his is a testament to the pride he takes in his work. Cant wait to see the finished article doing rings lad.
@weeblbob23311 ай бұрын
Hes absolutely right about those pin holes. Its the small imperfections that will gnaw away at you on a dream car.

I love that Neil's 86 is literally a collection of awesome parts from many legendary cars just conbined into one. really makes a statement out of what of a legend your car is and will be. I have said this so many times that it is probably starting to get annoying, but this will probably be the most perfect AE86 next to cars like Keichii Tsuchiya's. Class work Neil! 🍻

Rob is a legend, he collected a NOS steel sunroof from the middle of nowhere in Australia for me, and transported it as carry on luggage so it wouldn't get damaged, over to New Zealand. We're lucky to have him in the 86 community.

The Proton Jumbuck was pretty popular in Australia too, I think it was the last "small ute" sold here after the Subaru Brumby

Super excited for the end result. What a journey, funnily enough that gold hood is what caught my eye scrolling KZbin when I stumbled on your channel.
@1one3_Racing11 ай бұрын
We got the Proton Jumbuck in Australia as well. Same as the CE Lancer. There's a bunch that have had Evo conversions here. I don't know if anyone has done AWD though. There was also a Proton Satria which was just a Mitsubishi Mirage/Cyborg with slightly different body but the GTi version had the 4g93 twin cam which we didn't get in Australia at all so it was pretty awesome!
@Long_Shot_Media11 ай бұрын
Proton Jumbuck, we also had them in Aus Also awesome to see you & Jackie going that extra mile under the bonnet, it's giving me things to look out for when/if I get to that stage

I've been saying it for years, and seeing it in the state it is now, this is going to be the cleanest 86 in the country lad.

Man I cannot wait for the upcoming videos. Those jumbuck (dumbfuck) swaps are pretty common here in Australia, most actually go ahead with 4wd + 4g63 swaps too.

Your man Jackie is a legend. Putting in so much work and chasing perfection. I get it, once you start down the rabbit hole, there's no going back, I would have done the same, but with much less skill

I always say and boy do your videos just make Mondays better. Never in all of my KZbin watching did I ever think I would become so invested in someone else's build. Can't wait to see the end result Neil. I've often wondered if the car is secretly done and you have the best friends in the world that haven't shown it to the internet but then you start another process like this with Jackie and I go ehhh it's probably still getting put together. As we all say the last 10% always takes the longest. Cheers.

After seeing how good Jimmy's 86 came out; which he rightfully shouted you out for I'm looking forward to see this in it's final color. Like his I would definitely vote for at least half of a interior, it makes it so much nicer to drive and it deserves it after all the work that has been put into it.

Is the spray filler different to high build polyurethane primer ? It shrinks alot we always leave it for 2 weeks on restoration but in crash repair we dont have time to let it shrink .
