it's absolutely ridiculous, the only way you can get turn signals on your ebike if they didn't come with it is wiring in a 12v converter to your battery, I have an 86v battery and i'm honestly not comfortable splicing into it myself, the only other option is shitty USB rechargable chinese ones.

@@js8821 good looking helmet, but it doesn't appear to be full faced... even this moped-styled ebike can hit 30mph, if you hit a tree at those speeds that helmet might save you from fracturing your skull, but your face is going to be totally mangled and you're looking at 10,000+ in dental surgery

I don't ride recklessly so I won't hit a tree... i also won't be going 30mph... 20mph is just fine for me, when I'm on a bike path (like the one on Riverside in NYC) with not many people on it, I might hit 30mph. i have a rad rover, and really like it a lot! very functional. but i very may well get one of these (no law says i can't have more than one bike, lol!) a lot of my travel is very local. i'd rather not burn out my lexus on these short trips to go buy a few groceries. the rover is super tall, and lots of fun off road, but as a commuter, a bit much. i'm thinking i'd like this better for just local errands, and use the rover more for adventure type stuff.

Here are some changes I'd like to see (and these are minor, really)... 1) USB port that can fast-charge the newest phones 2) Sleeker, lower-profile side view mirrors. 3) An even taller seat option than the tall-seat option you currently have (you're 6'3", but I'm 6'5" and need even more height... another 3-4" of additional height on top of your tall seat option would be great for me) 4) Sexier shape to the main battery 5) Bigger digital display (maybe even color) Aside from this, I want to one of these HyperScorpions in blue!!

@@EricWright2001 lot of time an e-bike from China have so much power, your legs cannot keep up with pedaling. You pedal like crazy and worse...in thin air. That means the gearing is to narrow. I myself want to pedal slower with high speed. 2 options - bigger crankset/front blade Bigger means more teeth. I have on my e-bike a 52 t and ordered a 58 t - smaller cassette! So the highest gear is the smallest gear in the back. I have 14-28 in the back so 14 teeth is my highest 7th gear. @@ferrysonder7051 what bike do you have? i have a rover, in mechanically stock configuration. before covid, i used to commute 5 miles each way to work on it on pas 2 or 3, until i went up mount cardiac by the high school. i'm an old fart so i try to get a non-sweaty workout on the way to work, then blow it out on the way home. every time i look at the speedometer, i'm generally doing about 18 mph. that's fine. that's about what i can manage, and the bike pays for itself in that i use pas to overcome its weight. i once had to make a flank speed run to the credit union after work before they closed, so i punched it up to pas 5 (max), and ran about 25 mph most of the way. only did that once, and am pretty sure that's the only time i dialed it up to 5. i ride an ebike just to make sure i get home at my age.

Why are all the HyperScorpions that are shipped have their Gear Numbers upside down on the left handlebar?
@ebikefansfo3 жыл бұрын
Because they were leveraging existing bicycle shifters which live on the right hand side on non-motorized pedal bikes. Because there is a half twist throttle on the right of this ebike, they had to put the shifter upside down on the left. It works fine, just twist the other way.

Matt Johnson You night want to look into an ONYX RCR if you want to go 50 mph. For a low 30s mph ebike Juiced HyperScorpion is my top value pick. For a bike that does over 50 mph my top value pick in that category is the ONYX RCR www.onyxmotorbikes.com
@skip123davis4 жыл бұрын
i've decided if i add this to my motorcycle stable, i'll just plate it. 30 mph is fine with me. 40 would be nice, granted, but i ride my rad rover typically at 18 mph, so i'm prolly good with that. to go to 50, you're going to need a higher voltage battery. volts = speed, current = torque. to get UL2849 certification it gets complicated when you go over 60 VDC. so there's the rub. something will have to get sorted there eventually.

Asking a question like that is like asking how long is a piece of string. The range of an ebike can vary even from ride to ride on the same route. Factors include speed, wind, terrain, temperature, tire pressure, battery balance, discharge rate, and how much you plan on peddling. I figure that this bike will go atleast 30 miles under adverse conditions and up to 70 miles slowly under favorable conditions while lightly pedaling.
