Just a another comment to add. For some of us, It's not so much about juicing so that we'll be healthier, it's more that the texture of some vegetables or fruits is unpalatable. For me, I can eat fruits and vegetables but I find it difficult in their natural state. So I use juicing + eating veg and fruit to try and get a higher percentage of my diet to be vegetation based.

Day seven of juicing I haven’t been hungry at all. It’s crazy how little I’ve been putting in my body without being hungry. Loads of emotional stuff going on and cravings but not actually hungry at all.

I juiced to help with IBS flare ups and so I could regain nutrient intake. But not for weight loss. I agree with your input 100%.

You mention in this episode that juicing removes the soluble fiber. Can you share the science that shows it removes the soluble fiber?

It depends on exactly how you juice your fruits and veggies. Juicing methods that involve straining the juice through a fine filter, and removing all the solid components will inevitably remove some soluble fiber since it's tied up in those solid components and cannot be completely extracted via juicer. It doesn't remove all the soluble fiber if that's what you're wondering, and there will be some soluble fiber in juicing products, just less than in whole fruits and veggies. So juicing whole fruits yourself will still be much more nutritious than the fruit juices you buy in stores.

Well, I have a ninja blender and I add Brussels sprouts, broccoli radish, ginger, kale and 1/2 a banana as the only fruit. I’m pretty sure I get my fiber in instead of juicing.
