I'm a new subee... Happy I found you Doc. I just started intermittent fasting and so far I'm happy, in 12 days have lost about 1.5kg (might be water weight). I'm on 14/10, which I see I can change to 16/8 in time. I love it because I can still eat the food we all eat in my house but with the limited time I have 2 main meals and snack in between. I exercise as well for 30 min 3/4 times a week (tae bo or treadmill).

I am 55 and in menopause. I have struggled with gaining weight over the past 8 years. I am now on HRT and my doctor suggested counting macros and doing weight training. This has worked but progress is very slow (this has always been the case). What are your thoughts on tracking/counting macros?

I have had results with low carb, clean protein eating. I list 39lbs but I have plateu, then I started excercising more and got hungry. I have not lost anything in 6 months and I tend to gain 3lbs lose them again. I am in a cycle and I need to reset and continue. I still have more weight to lose for health purposes.

I tried so many and the only one that worked, for me, was keto.
