Dragon Ball is the prototype, and it has had plenty of misses and hidden gems because people support the IP. This game is going in the hidden gem category because people are more worried about graphics/models than gameplay and fun.

@@Clashy69 I just played it , it’s ok at best but it’s lacking a lot of things , also to mention I realized after I stopped mashing the combos are done for you , hit the button 3 times and the game plays it’s self , it has no freedom whats so ever every little thing must be done so specifically an it kinda ruins the immersion imo. You can’t cancel out of mid combo once you attack your stuck so you can imagine what happens when you miss 😕 , the game isn’t smooth and not a lot of creativity

Hell Jump Force isnt even purchasable. i dont think that either of those games were very good but thats just opinions. What isnt an opinion is that Anime arena fighters typically have no longevity because they lack any depth and are just made to capitalize off big IPs. 2v2 is not enough to carry this game they’d have to go crazy on updating it to maintain it. It absolutely could have potential to stay alive for awhile but when the only combos in this game are “repeatedly mash square” its gna get old quick. Casuals will enjoy it until people start getting sweaty and the fgc ppl wont enjoy it at all due to it’s repetitive nature and lack of depth. Its a broken record at this point. Look at any one of em. Steam charts says hinokami chronicles has 45 average players after only like 3 years and my hero had like 20 😭

They have items in the shop to combat this and also binding vows if you do the online. Even with cpu. I've had no issues with it and I've been playing for a week straight. I enjoy it, I think the problem people are running into is because it is 2 v 2. It tried to be different from the rest of the anime games out there. Not hating on naruto storm because I like that too but that game has been the same for multiple games in a row, when broken bonds and rise of ninja were much better gameplay styles. JJK mightve be more fun in a gameplay like that or if they could pull it off an rpg style

It's pretty much all I've been playing, like yeah the multiplayer needs some work, and the game COULD be so much better, but I think it's overhated underrated tbh. When/if they improve online stutter which is already really not bad might I add, but if one person lags everyone does and that's annoying, then I think the game will be in really good shape for them to just build on with little things

Best thing they could have done for this game is make the arenas way bigger and add a lot more destruction to buildings/environments. No cinematics, make it fluid. They really really could have just kept the graphics the same. Really could have had a 4 v 4 in shibuya. 2 start aboveground and the other 2 in the subway. Maybe better domain mechanics and simple domain for the people that dont have domains. Theres a lot that could have been done but they didnt do it so im probably not gonna get it unfortunately. Maybe after a few updates(if they actually update the game at all) ill revisit it. Also for the people that wanted a 2D fighting game, why? Why would you want to water down jjk to that extent. Jjk is too complex for that.

So, unlike a lot of other’s, I feel like this game has potential. When the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death DLC releases, they’ll add more maps, story, and characters. And it’ll be awhile but when they animate the Culling Game arc from the manga, right there will be way more content. But unfortunately, that’s gonna be at least a year or two from now.

Tbh, i really dont think arena fighters are an issue, but mofos NEED to figure out how tf to design them AND KEEP UP WITH BALANCING. I mean just look at Tekken, its definitely a different style of game, but it utilizes the 3rd dimention for combat and its been wildly successful, I think the mechanics just need to be tighter and polished better, also ACTUALLY making use of environments for something other than just cover for long ranged moves that you dont need line of sight for
