Thank you for this video. I went to my local quilt shop today with the intent to buy the 2010. They didn't have it but had the 18. I had done my research for the 2010 vs the 2000, but didn't even look at the 18. This answered a lot of questions I had about the 18 vs the 2010. So thank you for that. It was nice seeing all 3 machines side by side and getting that comparison like that.

Very informative video I've been looking at quilting machines for a while trying to make a decision because I don't have a lot of room in my sewing room for the big huge long arm quilting machines and the sit-down one is still kind of pricey for me however I've been looking at the 2010 and it's pretty much the one I had decided on and the TLA team has piqued my interest a bit but I may not be able to afford it which is fine it'll just take a while before I can get one but I really like your video it help answer a lot of questions I have thank you

I have had my TL-2010Q for 11 years and I love it as much as I did the day I bought it! I’m a quilter and my previous machine had all the bells and whistles. I never used them. Useless expense. Never had a problem. I oil it regularly, clean it and that’s all. I can use any thread without a problem. I converted a few of my friends to think Juki as well. I also have the Miyabi QVP. Some the things you are calling a "deal breaker" really are not. Once you have been quilting for a while the speed isn't a big issue. The foot also has a decent amount of clearence when raised, so unless you are trying to sew through an abnormally thick chunk of foam the microlifter also isn't a "deal breaker".

Have they fixed the “walking foot issue” (of rubbing and bunching) on the TL18 that people were complaining about with the TL2010? People have had to buy the Janome Even Feed Foot to replace the original Juki walking foot as a remedy. Is this still a continuing problem with the TL18?

I’m trying to decide between a 1541s or the tl 18. The biggest issue for me is space. I don’t think I have space for an industrial machine right now. But given they are so close in price I worry that I will still feel limited if I don’t get the industrial. For bag making I struggle with my current domestic machines. Any advice on how to decide if price is not the deciding factor?
@luvmypaso
@luvmypaso 2 жыл бұрын
I am a Bag and Accessory maker and have a 1541. I sews thru 8 oz leather like butter; however, it seems a bit heavy for basic accessories and bags. It is also perfect for heavy straps on horse blankets. I am considering the TL18 for most of my bag/accessory making, but need to research the range of thread sizes it takes. The 1541 will only go down to a 69 and for basic accessories that does look a bit too large. In addition, I have a servo and speed reducer on the 1541 which added to the cost. Sorry for jumping back and for between the machines, just jotting down thoughts as they come to mind. Hope that helps
@JukiJunkies
@JukiJunkies 2 жыл бұрын
Kathy you have great points… you almost need both as they’re made for different purposes in the bag making world. One complements the other… with that being said it really depends on your bags and what materials you’re using. A lot of our customers love the TL-18 for bag making and need nothing more. But some need the 1541 for their heavier duty bags with real leather and thicker layers. Give us a call we’d be happy to help you out. 813-661-9000

Another question I would like to ask about the sewing table. The TL2200QVP is no longer produced in the USA only outside of the USA. The TL18 Haruka has replaced that model.

advise My sewing machine needs no design. I will design with pen on fabric and sew using free motton on sewing machine. There will be only two layers of cloth. One above and one below. So which is the best sewing machine in low budget

I *thought* I didn't need all of the extra feet that come w/the Haruka. Penny wise & pound foolish. I've purchased many of those feet, and it's cost me more than the price difference btwn TL-2010Q & Tl-18QVP.

@@yolandarowe3094 that's very true, plus you don't get that micro lifter. We recommend the TL-18 to customers who have a bigger budget and want to sew through thicker materials.

@@JukiJunkies Back in the 1980's I sewed in the Jansport factory in Everett WA. and sewed on all the factory machines. Later I had 3 factory machines at home and sewed for interior designers. My serger was a Juki which I loved and got me hooked on Juki machines. ( I think it was an 812). My lockstitch at the time was a Singer 181-1 with no reverse. We lifted the presser foot with a knee lift just a little bit to sew backward and to create space for extra thick situations. I no longer have those machines and am looking for a Juki for my sewing now which includes a lot of quilting. As a single little old lady, living in a very small place I need a smaller machine and am thinking about the TL-2010. I see no reason why that wouldn't work with the Juki TL-2010. Have you tried it?

I am sold on a Juki. I am debating between the DX7. What would be the benefit of having both? I have old machines. I currently sewing garments, piece, and want to machine quilt.
@JukiJunkies
@JukiJunkies 2 жыл бұрын
Both the Juki DX7 and Juki TL models are great machines. They are really not comparable since one is a straight machine and the other is computerized. If you need a decorative stitch, zig zag, and button maker then I would get the DX7 because you need that for garments. I do have customers that have both machines. I am happy to discuss with you if you like. Feel free to call me direct at 813-376-5015. Have an awesome day . Gigi

I used to have a TL 98e and purchased the DX7 and gave my sister the TL. I am a quilter and although the throat space was comparable, the slender head on the TL has much more visibility for quilting than the DX7. They are both beautiful machines.
