Agreed. I've been worried that the best voice on the show wouldn't make the top 10 because she didn't have the "Idol look", but they've really found a great style for her. Shallow, I know, but tonight she looked as good as she sounds.

She found her recording voice/sound with this song! she needs to do more contemporary R&B/Rock beat-driven songs like this, rather than the big R&B diva songs where she kind of mimics the originals (like Dreamgirls "And I Am Telling You") or Fantasia's I Believe. Those diva songs require certain personalities and deeply soulful vocals to pull off.

I think Julia is amazing and has the best voice in the competition. I haven't loved her song choices so far though. I thought her audition song was great and this performance has been her best since then. I'd love to hear her do a slower song by a male artist that will really showcase her range and the nuances in her voice, without being too over the top. Something like All of Me by John Legend, Talking To The Moon by Bruno Mars, Lay Me Down by Sam Smith, or Say You Wont Let Go by James Arthur.
