** NEW! LIVE ONE-ON-ONE MENTORING SESSIONS WITH JULIA **
MORE INFO HERE: superpeer.com/juliamusher!
Hi, everyone! My botanical series continues in this video with the tropical plumeria, or frangipani, made completely of contoured, individually piped and airbrushed royal icing transfers! Naturally, I don’t have any plumeria growing in my Missouri yard, so I can’t say the inspiration came from my actual surroundings. My best explanation for this idea is that the corona-quarantine has me feeling a bit like I’m stranded on my own personal island. And, if there is one thing that would brighten my day on this island, it would be these strikingly simple, but stunning plumeria! I hope they brighten your day too! As an extra in this video, I also explore the use of mesh stencils and how they differ from conventional Mylar ones.

SPECIALTY TOOLS:
Cookie cutter: The one used in this video was custom-designed for me and is not available for sale, but any 4- to 4 ½-inch cutter will do; one of my go-to cutters is this “Corner Plaque”: tinyurl.com/yxdk9gly
Evil Cake Genius “Avalon Palm Leaves Double Barrel Mesh Stencil”: tinyurl.com/y6hk4esn (I masked off the stencil and used just a small portion of it)
My “Jungle” Dynamic Duos Background Stencil: tinyurl.com/y5vnlmxa (as a less expensive alternative to the mesh stencil above)
Stencil Genie (or frame for holding stencils): tinyurl.com/y4o73o99
Assorted PVC and cardboard tubes with diameters ranging from 7/8” to 2 1/8”, for contouring royal icing transfers; I sourced all of my tubes from my local hardware store or “harvested” them from rolls of spent wrapping paper and paper towels

Stems: 3” L to 5” L, piped on parchment paper with Wilton #5 round tip
Leaves: Piped in various sizes ranging between 1 1/8” L to 1 7/8” L x 3/8” W to 1 1/2” W; then immediately shaped in different directions over 1 3/4”- to 2 1/8”-diameter tubes
(NOTE: Download my petal and leaf photo-template here: tinyurl.com/y5eb2bar)
AIRBRUSH COLORINGS:
