Great reaction! I'm from Brazil and part of this army... I think that 365 days from today you'll already have seen all Floor"s beste zangers performances (emotions and technique in tons), most of wacken songs (I love storytime, song of my self, romanticide and all the others...), Wembley's "the poet and the pendulum" and Tampere's "The greatest show on earth" (it's like a trilogy of epic songs with ghost love score), epica's sancta terra ft. floor (You'll meet simone simons, an angel voice bff of floor, orchestra and chorus on stage too), all songs of new album "human: nature", especially how's the heart acoustic on planet rock (simply impossible to stop listening over and over again) and Shoemaker (Masterpiece, and Floor goes full opera here). Believe me, I already saw this before... It's inevitable... Take time to do a little research on each song, it adds so much to the experience because all of them have layers upon layers of meaning... The poet and the pendulum and the greatest show on earth explanations are mandatory...

Marco Hietala is the Bassist and vocals .And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrulmentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition. Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just heard her. Floor Jansen is classically trained, has done the Rock Academy over here in the NL and has worked several years as a vocal coach herself. I've heard her sing in Dutch, English, German, Latin, Spanish and Finnish. I've heard her sing rock, metal, pop, classical aria, country, musical and smooth jazz. I've heard her hold a D6 for 8 seconds and I've heard her do deathgrowls. There are only two types of songs in this world: ones Floor can sing and ones she hasn't tried yet. Please try her (and Henk Poort's) version of Phantom of the Opera.

Versatile? Check every performance of her in Beste Zangers to see versatility :) Her version of Shallow, and phantom of the opera are amazing. Also watch Storytime from the same concert. i'm originally from Australia. been based in th UK for the last 21 years and I was at that show in Germany. Stage centre about 30 metres back, and its was nuts. During the last three minutes of ghost love score there were literally hundreds of people around me, myself included with tears pouring down our faces, not crying as such, just tears because we were witnessing something so very special. Never had a voice impact on me so much. Floor is just a class act, as well as performing and recording she conducts vocal workshops in the cities they are touring. Vocal workshop in the afternoon, then soundcheck then the show.

Well, she is a powerhouse and can sustain notes for almost half an hour, but she is obviously limited when it comes to flexibility, like coloraturas and lyrical singing. But since she does heavy metal and not baroque operas, that is ok. Every singer has strengths and limits.

You have to listen to the others and subdue to the overall sound and yet you are the only one singing your voice.

3 quick comments: 1-this is one of the best vocal coach channels. I love the text to explain your analysis. I'll take a live performance over anything done in the sterility of a studio, and more so for Nightwish than virtually any other band. You are the first person in the entire world who said Floor's second name correctly :D. She is Dutch. Yes, Floor has classical background, rock academy behind, and used to be a vocal coach for a number of years. Floor is the most versatile and powerful female singer today and can sing anything from more pop-y style, classic opera, to metal screams and growls. Floor is a queen of singing emotions. Floor joined Nightwish in the middle of their Imaginaerum world tour in late 2012 (which includes this show from August 2013). Previous singer, Anette Olzon (she's currently in Dark Element) left the band while they were touring, and there was no certainty what to do with all the upcoming shows. They called Floor (her previous band did tour with NW in the past, and they knew each other). Floor flew immediately to help them out and temporarily replace Anette for the rest of the world tour. She arrived two days before the next show, and she had only 48 hours to learn the entire setlist. And she did. Epic is the right word here. This is as close to total epicness we can get. There's prerecorded symphony orchestra's backing track and the drummer Jukka Nevalainen is responsible of all the timings. I think that's why Floor honored him (and all the other band members who were situated right from her). Floor's husband Hannes van Dahl is a very respected drummer for a Swedish metal band "Sabaton" so she sure knows that the a good drummer is rock singers best friend 😉😄. Excellent analysis. You are usually my first reactor on songs, and I return from time to time to watch again. Of the multitude I've watched on this song alone, you are the only one to point out my favorite moment ... her, exactly on beat, reaching out to the drummer at the end. There is a beautiful humility in that gesture and after watching several interviews with Floor, it confirms that statement. Being an old drummer, very old drummer, there is absolutely nothing that gives a greater rush or provides such pleasure as creating music with people you care about. She is every bit of that ... they have become a family and they are playful and loving. As Nightwish is the most reacted to artist or band in the history of music video reactions. FYI:There were 82,000+ in the audience. It is the 13th of 15 songs that NW performed that night. I would recommend either 'Ever Dream' or 'Storytime' from the same concert for your next Nightwish reaction. Floor is the 3rd and still current female lead singer of Nightwish (est. 1996) She had been with the band for little over 10 months at the time of this concert on 03 August 2013. She started performing in her first Metal Band, After-Forever at the age of 16. After that band disbanded, she started her own band called Revamp. Which was on hiatus, when she received a call from Nightwish to take over the female lead singing duties mid-tour. The rest is herstory.

I am a 100% Nightwish fan but we have to be honest, absolutely no fan of Dimash but in every aspect the amount of reactors and viewers subscribers etc. Is so much higher as Nightwish. And i just did a quick research on his song SOS and my first impression is amount of reactors i am almost sure there are many more reactors then Nightwish. Just imagine how many russian and chinese Dimash supporting people there are. But to be honest i am not interested in those figures because so many reactors included vocal coaches just review only to get more subscribers and if they do not like it they fake they like it. As well Nightwish as Dimash will have that problem. If i think they fake my favorite band i just ignore them in the future.
