It is a good game, but the truth is that it is far below the others in the saga and the jrpjs in general, even so it is a very good game. For the fan of Ff10, it is a very good game, for those who are not, it is a very average game. The combat is good, the rpj system is very good and even more so on the day it came out, but the story is very very average. For a fan of .10, I would give it an 8. For someone Outside of 10, I would give it a 5. It's just my opinion. There you have to keep in mind that this game had a much smaller budget than 10, and it was made, among other things, because of the crying of the fans who didn't want to see Tidus die and wanted a love story that ended well. Square lowered his pants.

the people i know that played this said that the only thing they hated was the game play. they said they didnt like the dress sphere mechanics. should have stick with final fantasy x gameplay style.

I don't know if anyone in the chat mentioned before, but you can multicast your spells to all targets. Just press R1 when choosing a target to cast a spell, that also work with healing spells like Cure.

3:17:19 It does wait. They way it works is just than when you're inside a menu (like inside the item menu, picking what item to use, or when you press attack and your selecting what enemy to attack) the "Active mode" in the top right corner changes to "Wait mode". You can see it like the enemy has ATB bars too, so In "Wait mode" all the ATB bars stop charging, so u can select with no rush what u want to use. If u see the enemy still attacking while it says "Wait mode", it's probably because they atb bar was fully charged and they were in queue. It can happen when you're using a spell on one enemy, if his atb is full and it's going to attack you, if your spell charged faster and u're using it, they enemy just waits until the spell hits him and then it attacks, so it can attack if you're in wait mode cause his bar was full anyway Basically if u enter a menu, like black magic, swordsplay or item, u can just chill and think about what to do

1:04:15 I would not take for granted learning how the ins and outs of these mini games in Final Fantasy Work because they could help you with other things as far as strategy, like your chat said doing taxes😂 whether it's literally or conceptually I'm thinking way outside the box

Playing alongside you and its amazing how different our playstyles are. 😂 I almost ALWAYS have Paine in songstress form constantly dancing and blinding all the enemies (in case you didnt notice, the reason the character dances for so long is because the effect ONLY lasts while th character is dancing, the moment they stop, they are no longer blind). Meanwhile I have Rikku stelaing from EVERYONE! I am also only on chapter 1 but have already maxed out my potions and have SO MANY PHOENIX DOWNS as well! 😂🤣

So you've done 7 Remake (2020), 16 (2023), 7 Rebirth (2024), 10 (2001) and now 10-2 (2003). Remaining: 1 (1987), 2 (1988), 3 (1990), 4 (1991), 4 After Years (2008), 5 (1992), 6 (1994), 7 (1997), 8 (9.9.99), 9 (2000), 12 (2006), 13 (2009), 13-2 (2011), 13-3 (2013), 15 (2016). And there's the two MMOs 11 (2002) & 14 (2010). Then there's Square Enix's other Final Fantasy type series called Chrono Trigger which had three games: Chrono Trigger (1995), Radical Dreamers (1996) and Chrono Cross (1999). There was a fourth game called Chrono Break that got cancelled. Chrono Trigger is where the Dragonball art style originated from and it was different than Final Fantasy in that there are no random encounters. You could see the enemies, avoid them or prepare for battle beforehand. This game style was put into the Final Fantasy series.

If you play VII Remake again, you can find a small reference to This version of Shrina in that game when you are going through the Shinra building towards the end of the game. There is a picture in the Shinra museum section with a group of workers all standing there and in the center of the picture the man in the middle is wearing Shinra's face mask! A small nod at a vague connection.

13:15 Even as someone who does not yet have an appreciation for FF& because Remake and Rebirth were not true to the original, IT IS in fact very sus that the inventor kid's name is Shinra.

Just need to say a few things. Do not try to specialize. Now that is not to say not to get one mage one healer, one warrior/damage dealer up first so you have a strong one of each to start off with. They must learn all each and every one to actually be successful. You will get into battles where you will need to use specific spheres to battle for all of them. EX. All warriors or all mages because nothing else will be effective. Do not try to specialize if you want to be actually effective by mid to late game. P.S. You did not get elemental info on Final Fantasy 10 unless you had sensor or scan. oh and P.S.S. There are no base stats and no character is better at one thing or another. If they are the same level and the same garment grid and same sphere learning they will have the same stats. Oh and P.S.S.S. there are missable parts of the core story. If you hadn't done the exploration and talked to Gippal The desert part of the main story would have been lost. HotSpots means 2 things. I there is a sphere there (Possibly dress spheres or other important ones as well as ones to further lore and story. 2. main story line yes the desert is a missable part of the main story line. This is why you always explore every place every chapter of the story cause treasure chests can appear later. So can other rewards.

@@juliatvgamesGood trick for Tonberries is that you can interrupt attacks, and if their attacks are delayed long enough through interruption they get cancelled so it becomes a mix of timing and spacing. Warrior for example slashes with range and backs off; keep it up and you’ll push him back, back away, and manage to delay him enough to keep cancelling his attacks. The classic Tonberry “Doink!” Attack (ff8 nickname that sticks) is slow and easily dodged in ff7-2’s system.

Unfortunately this is a game that really does need a guide to 100% because so much is easily missable, like not napping at least once every chapter.

The unfortunate (or fortunate depending on who you ask) thing about this game is how non linear it is. The game's story and dialogue vary massively depending on choices and especially order of events. Luckily, this game has new game plus, so you can play it blind, and then play another playthrough with a guide if you want to 100 percent it.

If you can’t handle the active battle system in this game then you can forget about playing FF4 to 9 and 13 as well since they all use the fast pace combat.
