She says she still loved him when she shot him. Yet: She shot him in the back.....................in self-defense??? She hid the dead body under a blanket, and debris. She did NOT call 9-1-1 She lied to her own kids about what happened to their Daddy Then she took the kids out for games and breakfast The police were called by Julie's DEFENSE attorney, NOT by Julie. Yeah, she so obviously loved him.

truth, justice and coffee: You're so right! WTF? I'm certain her attorney would have informed her precisely what was the purpose for making her statement, & the opportunity it afforded her as a convicted murderer to address the judge with any RELEVANT information, before handing down her sentence. But she just meandered on & on & on! It was in such sharp contrast to the family member's victim impact statements, which were clear, deeply thoughtful, absolutely dignified, & definitely pertinent in explaining to the judge just exactly who Jason REALLY was, & how their lives will never be the same again.

And did you notice NOT ONE FREAKING TEAR! I’ve watched every video of her trial and the ONLY TIME SHE SHED AN ACTUAL TEAR WAS WHEN SHE WAS FOUND GUILTY OF 2nd degree murder at the end of that trial - standing at the defense table right before being cuffed she actually pulled out two Kleenex and wiped tears off her face! Someone said she cried when her kids were testifying...I didnt see it! Wouldn’t you have thought she would have spent all the time she wasted talking about how he abused her - she should have spent that 40 minutes begging for mercy - not questioning perceived CPS ABUSES! So she’s be n in prison 3 years now???? If she says “behind closed doors” one more time I’m going to write a letter to the judge to make it 50 YEARS!

Her behavior does appear forced and canned. The judge put her away. Her cold-blooded murder of her husband and her manifest lack of remorse for her crime earned her the judgment. She expects to die in prison, an awful fate to contemplate. Prison guards do not care. They see inmates as numbers. One of my relations visited her spouse in prison. She described it as "a dead place." A fitting description.

Sociopath or narcissist, the best thing about life is the feelings, good and bad, those types have nothing but for themselves, the tears are for them alone…. @@stuff2047 It was a gradual uptick of negative behavior. When you want to make things work, you forgive. There was also a codependent factor. Divorce is life-altering. Even if it means no romantic relationships with women, ever.

not an HD camera... If you look you can see reflections of light coming from below her eyes indicating wetness of some sort... which we can infer is tears... stop the foolishness

Michael Mcteigue when a woman cries or anyone for that fact for twenty plus minutes they need a Kleenex or there eyes and nose would be running down their chin dripping onto the papers. She would at last need to wipe her eyes and blow her nose at some point which she doesn’t do not even once. For any woman to see this is rather disgusting, then upon her speech stopping she immediately is completely emotionless again and staring ahead stoically. After her LONG speech about herself and how mistreated she was and is, she finally does in her last paragraph mention how sorry she is to her children and to her in-laws. She said she thinks that her older children who were 10 and 8 at the time their dad died, will sometime remember what a mean man her husband was and what a great mom she was. I think she might have to wait a long time for that. Being a Elementary /Secondary educator, children that age wouldn’t have any trouble at all knowing what kind of a man their father was and how he treated them and how he treated their mother! Never once did she mention her mother but did mention her father. She neglected through her statements about her stellar A+ life and personality to mention her drug additions and alcoholism. She’s definitely a piece of work in progress but will have plenty of time now to get that rehabilitation she said she so desires for herself. A tragedy for so so many lives so she could get what she wanted. Why not just leave if he was so horrible for decades? Instead she thinks she can get self defense for killing him? That was one very stupid move on her part no matter what. Instead of just leaving the house and going to her parents until the divorce she kills him! When he would have had to pay child support for three children and was a educator. She would have received the house and more than likely custody of the children. She was just not the smartest person for being like she said a straight A student!! Now she gets to spend the rest of her natural life in prison and not just jail where she got lipstick and could keep her roots bleached.

Unfortunately, this is a typical narcissist that thinks everyone is wrong but not her? Shame on you for what you did to your family. The sad part is Julie Harper will never think it was her fault but blame the father for whatever her reasons for killing him.

The truth is the truth. What’s really annoying isn’t her inability to string her words together as much as the fake way she is doing it. As much as we try to be politically and intellectually correct, it pulls at our inner being when we realize she is a lying, deceitful PERSON. I’ve watched many women and men stumble with words incoherently and it didn’t bother me at all. I feel empathy, because I know they are being authentic.

This case is so terribly tragic. Jason's mother was so classy and precious. My heart goes out to her and the rest of his family. The impact statements from his children broke my heart. Her entire statement was long and rambling, it was all about how she has suffered and how sorry she is for her suffering and how no one believes her stories and her lies. She is such a narcissistic woman she doesn't hardly mention anyone elses suffering if it doesn't somehow tie into her own self pity.
