This was a powerful segment! Lion King was the first musical that my family saw on Broadway and in the New Amsterdam Theatre in 2003. Still one of my all-time favorite show! Thank you to Julie Taymor, Sir Elton John, Sir Tim Rice, Lebo M, and the entire cast and crew for an amazing 25 years!!!

Wow! I have never seen the lion king. Watching this episode brought tears to my eyes, especially the story of little Sarah. I am going through treatment for stage four breast cancer. I do hope I get to see it. I feel I ought to see it. Thank you for bringing it again to the view.

OMG if you ever get a chance you should see it, even if it is just a touring production. It is so majestic and that opening brings me to tears every single time. These actors and performers are some of the best. I really want to see it on Broadway someday.

I love that Whoopi was in the original lion king movie but doesn't mention it at all. You know if Meghan was in the original and was part of this segment she would have brought it up 1,000 times and made this whole segment about herself

The hyenas almost stole the show was Cheech or Chong and her and then one of the other hyenas didn't say anything. He just had those goofy looking eyes. I love the hyenas in their original Lion King.

I wish Julie Taymor directed the 2019 movie remake of "The Lion King" and have all the songs from both the original animated film and the Broadway musical. I would've loved Beyonce to have sung "Shadowland". And fix up other problems like the CGI facial expressions. Then it would have been just as of a masterpiece like the animated movie and the Broadway musical!
