Very nice. I must try vindaloo this style. I do not think they use mustard seeds in a Goan vindaloo but I think it would add a nice layer of flavour. Thanks for sharing Julie.

I made this unusual version of a pork vindaloo as you showed, and only added some star aniseed and some fenugreek at the very end. It didn't taste like the vindaloo I had when I Iived in the Uk, but we enjoyed it very much. I will make this more often now. Please add more recipes!

@Lesly Mendonca Ummm... youtube channel..Global.. Goans are spread out all over the globe and not every Goan knows Konkani. Think of the Goan kids that have grown up abroad and only know English. My dad is Goan and knows Konkani, which makes me Goan and I don't know Konkani. I just typed Goan Pork Vindaloo and this video popped up among many others. If she spoke in Konkani I would not have a clue what she was saying. Besides Goans speak English very well in Goa as well so what's your issue? And if a Goan from Goa has to look up a pork vindaloo recipe on youtube then there are serious problems over there. Relax and embrace English as a global language and if you miss Konkani so much then talk amongst your relatives or buy a Konkani tape or CD.

Very nice recipe....and very well explained..but Vindaloo without Goan Vinegar is not vindaloo...this is a pork curry of sorts...also we do not use Tamarind... The spices and red chillies are ground with Toddy/ Goa Vinegar to make a paste, marinate and then cook. Just my 2 cents !!!

Yes it's one of the methods of making Vindaloo, I used less vinegar in the recipe and used more of tamarind as too much vinegar is not good for health No dear I didn't come on TV but would come up with Simple tendli pickle recipe 😊👍

Good dish but basic rules not followed, on nonstick pan don't dry fry any spices as the chemical in the pan mixes with the food, nonstick pans are only for liquid cooking.
