It is said that the mind can't differentiate between what is a real plant and a faux plant. So for all the pet parents out there, if there's a plant you like but is toxic to pets, just get it in a faux plant version. It's a win, win! ☘️😊

Hi Julie, I live in Melbourne Australia and I have just found your content on KZbin. I loved the Feng Shui Do's and Don'ts for your bedroom. I have never felt comfortable in my bedroom since moving into my home in 2018. I now understand why. Don't ask my I have always been a supporter of Feng Shui, considering my knowledge is limited, but things I have learnt to me just makes sense. And I believe your bedroom needs to peaceful and calming. I have tried many things to make my bedroom all of the above. But my dog doesn't even feel comfortable, he only sleeps in my room cause he is my shadow. I really need your advice if at all possible. MY bedroom is a strange shape and so much that is taboo. Obviously some things like covering the doorway to my ensuite, so many sharp things pointed at my head, from wall angles, which I have no idea how to change. My bed position is in the absolute worst position, I can't see any other position other than the current death position. Sorry but after watching your video wow so much makes sense. It's like I've had a light bulb moment. Can I please send you what my floor plan is like? And can you please advise me what I should do. I would really love any help possible. Kind regards Kate Campbell

@JulieKhuu7 ай бұрын
Hi Cynthia! 👋🏻 I totally think some of these can work outside. Monstera grows so beautifully, I can see it taking up an entire missing corner of the garden if you need something large to fill up space. Even with the negative space on the fenestrated leaves- if you nourish it, you will give it power. I tend to stay away from cacti at all times. Thorny bushes like roses are bad Feng Shui, but I still have a bunch in my garden because I love how fragrant my roses are! I definitely pick and choose each battle 😉

If the money tree is shooting out new leaves, it loves its placement 👏🏻 I did the same with my fiddle leaf fig. It got attacked by ants one hot summer day. I repotted it and shocked it. All the leaves dropped 😩 But I stayed headstrong and slowly nursed her back to fighting health with no leaves to begin with. Documented the journey on IG and she not only survived, but thrived! Was able to propagate more plants before I eventually gave her away 🤗

Is it Feng Shui or is it 'law of attraction'... over the past three weeks I've looked further into the origin and practice of Chinese metaphysics/feng shui and feel it's just so difficult - I've implemented 'law of attraction' & 'colour healing' because I cannot do anything about the surrounding landscape and other constructions.
@JulieKhuu7 ай бұрын
I do both and believe they both carry great power ✨ Feng Shui may seem contradictory with so much conflicting information online, but every practitioner has their own methods, usually in line with however they were educated. I was trained under the Compass school, which works for me and my practice. I find it easier to understand and apply when compass directions never change.

@@JulieKhuu yes - if you're trying to apply 'remedies' it's a terrible feeling to be possibly doing things in the opposite direction - I've always swapped for southern hemisphere but two masters don't and I am trying to come to terms with Sun/Fire not facing south here... thank you.

@JulieKhuu7 ай бұрын
Feng Shui will always say that anything traveling down is akin to losing money, but to me, plants are conditional. Vined plants like the pothos can be propagated and gifted, so the simple act of cutting the vines and giving them away are a benevolent act that carries great chi 🪴

Cactus except for when its cooked, lives outdoors and the prickly pear margaritas are to die for! But I would't geown one indoors (the nopales paddles are dangerous but they are good for you). I had a bad experience. Do you know cactus can attack you? I was living in a cabin in San Francisco that used to belong to the Believe It Or Not guy (suddenly can't remember his name). There were windows down the whole west side of the house so you could see pratically the whole Cityfrom the hill. It was really cool but my roomate had a thing about cactus no doubt about it. I was sitting nice and cozy in a chair reading with my back to the window when suddenly ferocious needles that felt like cats' claws fell into and embedded themselves in my scalp. I did think it was the cat at first. It was horrible. Or right Robert Ripley's Believe It Or Not. Thank you for your videos.

Also having aloe vera outside In the garden. Is the feng shui of indoor plants the same as outdoor plants?
@JulieKhuu7 ай бұрын
Feng Shui of indoor plants is more particular than outdoor ones. I have aloe Vera outside, but I wouldn’t bring it inside the home because of the pointy leaves. I don’t decorate with cacti inside nor out. I have a ton of fern and palm trees outside. Consider the shape of the leaves when outdoors and whether or not they point towards your body or head. I have absolutely no green thumb, can faux plants work as well
@LisaApril7 ай бұрын
I find most brown thumbs come from lack of knowledge. There are a lot of websites that talk about the care of different plants. Depending on the plant you want or the plant you already have look them up and read About their care carefully. Some plants have zones they do best in and the zones are defined also. There's really no mystery, it just takes your time to find out what your plant needs. Many people use their calendar that's on the fridge or wall to mark the plant schedule of waterings and so on. I wish you the best of luck. My father is a horticulturist and a scientist and he only got his knowledge through the time he spent studying and learning through practice. Anyone can do it!
@MeRiaNevaMynd7 ай бұрын
I read you shouldn't water your plants on a set schedule. Check their soil first by sticking your finger in the dirt. If the topsoil is dry (about the first inch down) then the plant is thirsty. It does take time & getting to know your plant's likes & dislikes. I visited lots of websites recently for instructions on repotting and noticed instructions differed between sites, so sometimes you have to research until you can find a consensus. The pothos is a good plant to start with 🙂
@JulieKhuu7 ай бұрын
Absolutely, Feng Shui loves faux varieties with the same tips. Rounded leaves, no spikes aimed towards you, no thorns, looks as real as possible (not cheap, plasticky 💐)
