Hi Julie, I'm going to be rather selfish here, but are you able to offer any advice for an all white kitchen with 600x600 grey tiles. I chose all white because I didn't want to fall into a fad-trap and be stuck, but now I'm worried it will feel cold and hospital-like. What was your rule on how to space out pendants above an island bench? I cannot seem to find it 😫 I adore your sense of style, and if I had endless money, I'd fly you to Australia myself lol. Love your content as always!! Xx
@JulieKhuu4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for watching Meagan! I would specify brass or polished nickel faucets and cabinet hardware to warm up the white/grey look. Too cool color story can feel cold and sterile, but it’s what you do with the finishes that can help it all come together. Kitchen lighting is up to you. Go with what feels/looks right!

Thanks, Julie! I’d love to see your suggestions for high ledges. We have huge ledges that look so empty and bare. I don’t like the traditional look of fake plants and baskets 🙈 But, we also have large earthquakes and I’m scared to put large vases. Would totally appreciate your input!
@JulieKhuu4 жыл бұрын
Group your vignettes so they don’t look scattered all around Lola. Also they make earthquake putty that you can use at the base of your vessels to ensure they stay put! Available at hardware stores

Amazing! I have an interior design question! So I aspire to be an interior designer so my house is my experimental play house. My most recent project is my parents bedroom. I have a good image of what I want the room to look like but the only issue is they a lot of stuff. So it's hard to keep everything organized. Do you have any tips on how to not just get things organized but to keep them organized?
@JulieKhuu4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching Kyrie! My first suggestion is to purge! Keep only what truly inspires them and organize using trays, cabinets and as much vertical wall space as storage solutions to clear the floors and surfaces. Hope that helps!

U have many display items on that kitchen shelf. Won't it get easily dirty by the grease n dust ? Esp the whole matte resulting in more time cleaning?
@JulieKhuu4 жыл бұрын
Nope! Had this same setup for over 5 years now. The first shelf I use daily, which means they get washed daily. The upper shelves get dusted probably 3-4 times a year. I find that the more frequent vacuuming you do on your floors, the less dust flies up through the air. Plus the stove is on the opposite side of the kitchen so no grease ☺️

That was an interesting transformation. There would have been a couple things I would have done differently, but I think it is personal preference and not a question of what you were doing. That small vase that you ended up not using, try adding some splotches of soft color using a tooth brush. I think it lost the textured look you were going for when you changed it. Otherwise, love the new look.
