One of my favorite details of this game is how the NPCs respond to you killing one of them. They all have names and personal responses to watching their peers die. They really made every part of this game have realistic traits. Incredible!

4:12:51 This flashback is so well made. At the beginning Ellie is anxious and in her own head about something (and Tommy notices Ellie's a bit off). Reading her journal, it sounds like she's thinking about Dina and how her relationship with her girlfriend Cat is making Dina distance herself from Ellie (we now know this is because Dina had a crush on Ellie). Ellie's contemplating her relationship with her girlfriend and her friend. Then she finds the two kids that ran away from Jackson. It's basically the exact same story as Ellie and Riley's in the Left Behind DLC. Adam was stuck with his girlfriend being infected and he was forced to shoot her, just like Ellie was stuck with Riley turning, who was the person that helped her discover her own identity/sexuality. Ellie's forced to relive that memory when she sees these kids, on top of the stress she's already feeling because of her personal relationships.

As someone who genuinely loved the original game and Part 2, I do find it unfortunate that not everyone had that shared experience, with some gamers being legitimately disappointed with Part 2. All I can say is that I hope they enjoy Part 3, if it ever comes to be (Give it another 7-8 years, haha) And maybe the HBO adaptation will be a blast, fingers crossed.

I instantly fell in love with the first game back when it released, I patiently waited 7 years for the sequel and was not disappointed at all. I wish I could experience both games for the first time all over again, they’re some of my fondest and most cherished gaming memories.

There's a lot of emotions going on there lol, the ending is interpreted pretty differently from person to person ;o Definitely feel free to take your time though, I'm not sure if it's just because I played myself or what but it can be very emotionally taxing

@@lexyy03 thank you for asking!! Sorry I've been rlly busy lately and kept forgetting to update/ reply to you! The game was definitely intense haha but super good. The ending was actually better than I thought, I was scared one of them was gonna be killed. Still sad about Dina leaving with JJ and their cottagecore life being over :( I guess it makes sense tho because she left them. Also I loved Abby's character, I might actually be more on her side than Ellie and Joel's, she had a good reason for killing Joel and and let Ellie go multiple times. I think she was also one of the most important parts of the game. It kind of showed how there's always two sides to the story and in the end, no one was really the good or bad guy, they were all just trying to survive and take care of their loved ones no matter what. It's sad but we'd probably all do the same in this situation. I also loved Abby and Lev's relationship, it was a bit similar to Joel and Ellie's which I think Ellie realised in the end and was one of the reasons why she let Abby live. Also rip Yara and Jesse, I feel like out of everyone they didn't deserve what happened to them the most :( anyway that was longer than I intended lol no need to read the whole thing! 😁

I have watched playthroughs of this game so many times and I think one of the best and saddest parts is Joel's story he had a pretty good average life before the outbreak had a nice house a job a daughter he loved and loved him then she died and he spent the next 20 years doing what he had to to survive and he did horrible things and that probably haunted him so much then for the last four years of his life he got to spend it in relative peace sure there was still infected and hunters but he got to have a house again and a relationship with his brother who he thought he would never see again and he got a be the father figure for Ellie even thought their relationship was messy he still had it and that's just really nice that he got to be happy and have a nice life for a little bit and Tommy got to have his brother back for a little bit and that is so sad but really nice I really love this game

Bro it frustrates me so much how like half of the streamers I’ve seen don’t understand the mechanics of the bow. I’m sure Julien will get it eventually bc he’s smart and he’ll figure it out but some streamers will go the whole game without drawing their arrows back completely and then be confused or mad as to why it didn’t kill the enemy. It’s just like real life 😆 you actually have to draw the arrow back or it won’t go far. The game even tells you that repeatedly in bow tutorial and the loading screen hints but no one ever pays attention. 😂
