You're supposed to charge it for at least 4 hours before first use. They recommend you charge overnight. I recommend giving it another try, maybe brushing out the sections before curling. I personally LOVE this curler (my hair is a bit thinner and shorter than yours but not by much)

I used this first time yesterday and my hair got stuck multiple times (about every 1/10 attempts), sometimes scary bad but it's great the device has a sensor and switches off when that happens. I have a lot of hair. My hair is very long waist length, very straight, and thin. I brushed my hair out before inserting it every time. Perhaps longer hair is not compatible with these devices. Final result for me: the nice part of the curls lasted about 20 mins before falling out, which isn't unusual my hair almost never holds curls but usually they last a little longer. Unfortunately after the curls fell out I was just left with frizz. I wish it was smoother.

Oh I also had trouble with battery lasting. The device won't work for the whole head because of it. Low battery meant hair got caught more often. I'd say it's probably great for people with short hairm

You definitely need to section your hair and clip the rest of the hair out of the hair. It needs to have a full charge which will take an hour or so. Plus on long hair put the hair curler half way down for a more beach wave.. if the curler isn’t hot enough you won’t get much of a curl. There is also a timer on the curler so make sure to adjust it on the controls..

I was using it on my mother last night and seperating the hair seems like a good way to go but you can even do her long hair the whole way up if you section the under and outer hair seperately. Also the less amount of hair you put in the longer the hair it can do, so it is good for longer hair but it's a tad more finicky

Here are some tips! -charge it. -put a small strand of hair. -let it heat up. -hold the start button until it double beeps. -after it double beeps, let go of the button and pull the curler away from your hair. -make sure to press on. 🎊I don’t want to be rude, but that is how it works! 😀

The reason your hair got stuck, is because you tried to put too much in, the safety feature kicked in and switched the device off. I’ve used it, and after the first use/getting used to it, it’s actually an amazing product.

It doesn't work for everybody - if the hair is medium/thick - LONG /fuzzy and abundant likely struggle to performs as intended, also the annoying part when the battery actually run out of juice so quickly that point experiment frustration. Perhaps, short hair above shoulders will be relative more cost effective. Bottom line: A big NO for me either.

@@logannair3219 she did make some mistakes which is why her hair was getting tangled in the device, and she also wasn't holding the button until the beeping stops like the directions say to do. After watching many of these videos I noticed the ones having issues were the ones that didn't read nor follow the directions. It was user error and with a little practice I'm sure she would've gotten it.

I'm also afraid that it will get stuck in my hair and saw that happen for a second and was terrified for you! 2 hours is way more time than anyone should have to spend. A curling iron would be faster and I prefer to use heat-free options. Your hair is gorgeous with or without the extra curls! I'll bet if you put your hair on top of your head with a bun former, when you take it down, you'll be shocked how gorgeous the curly waves are!

I’ve got the same tool but different brand name. I’ve found if you put the hair over the top with the gap facing forward works better even with bigger sections. Well done for persevering. I have short hair so don’t have the same issues that you have.

@@samii___ they're all basically the same product just a different brand but they're using the same design from the original patent. That's why they all look very similar. The one Julissa purchased is Conair and the one I purchased doesn't even have a brand anywhere on the product, directions, or the box it came in but it looks almost identical except hers has the textured lower half and mine doesn't. Hers also costs $70 and mine was only $8.50 from Temu, they're running between that an $25 which is much cheaper. Walmart had one for around $17.98.

You can use any length of charging cord as long as the connector matches the shape of the connector outlet on your phone, your tablet, your E-Reader, your camera and your phone. Newer devices have a wider, flatter, USB connection - so take a good look because the cord that comes with this is very short, but any cord that matches the connector will do.

I'm so glad you did this video I was about to go spend £60 on this exact one on amazon! This has cleared up what I expected "getting stuck in the barrel and turning off 😑 😳. The reviews seemed decent and the uploads of peoples hair looked amazing but somethings always too good to be true there is now a babyliss version of this and even that one tangles hair as my sister has it I still wanted one but a different brand and this was the next option but I think I will stick to my good old chopstick curling wand ! Saved me £60 anyway thanks 😊 ☺

Had the same problem with the tangling. If you make sure the wand is close enough to your scalp (you want it to pretty much touch your head), it is much less likely to tangle!

I noticed several people gave you some tips and the only thing I noticed you were doing wrong was not holding the button down until the beeping stopped completely as per the directions. I just bought one of these for $8.50 from Temu which led me to watching a bunch of these instructional videos to see first hand how well it worked. And after watching many product test videos for this automatic curler, it appeared to be user error when the hair got stuck or didn't produce the perfect curl. I'm shocked at how many people don't actually read the directions (or at least skim it for the main parts) and then wonder why it isn't working right. I also think when the hair got stuck it drained the battery more because that seemed to be the case with the ladies that happened to, but the battery seemed to last fine for those that didn't run into that issue. Just my 2 cents. I do commend you for giving it a good try before giving up though because I'm sure after 2 hours anyone would be frustrated.

the battery goes even when ur not using it, if its on then the battery goes and if u leave it on for more than 10mins without acctually using it it will start beeping to warn u that its still on, i have one myself and if u but to thick of a strand of hair or even too long it will start beeping a lot, what i do is just use my long phone charger and have it on charge while using it, if u have super super short hair u can but a rlly thick peace in, to avoid tangiling, just but thinner peaces xx

Your battery died because you used it to charge your phone. If you use it to charge another product, it drains the battery. It would have lasted longer. Otherwise, you are really sweet. I also have curly hair.

Suzanne, I have to disagree. My sister and I have tried using this device twice now and it died on her after four curls, and me after curling only the bottom layer of my hair. This girl is spot on--it's a good idea, but it needs significant improvements with battery life and sustaining decent curls (without frizzing the bottom)

I did very little sections of hair and have it on 390, but it will not curl hair and it's 2 days non washed. The battery .... Oh that's the biggest problem!!!! It sits on 1 bar after the 1st curl. Mine doesn't curl while charging so I'm not impressed! It's brand new and 1st time using it. I just removed it from box last night and it had all night to charge. Super not impressed by this.
