I had to come watch this video again today after finding out that his dam the Queen Uniek has taken her last walk across the rainbow bridge. Julius, Eefje, and now Belle Alexia are the only live direct offspring oout of Uniek with Rising Star being her adopted son. Julius looks so much like his mom. it's unreal. Plus he got her thick tail. Thank you for posting this video as her foals are the legacy of a Queen.

Congratulations on your purchase of a wonderful horse with a fantastic lineage! You have a very nice table there! Julius Ster, retired Royal Dutch parade horse, is the son of Uniek fan e Goingamieden Kroon (Crown) Sport (dressage) mare & Anders 451 Sport. There is a KZbin channel, “Friesian Horses,” where you can see Julius at his 3-year old keuring (stallion inspection) and his fabulous mother and other relatives. At 17, Uniek remains beautiful and has great movement. Julius really does possess a superstar lineage. He is also the grandson of the late Ulbert 390 Sport, one of the first Friesians to participate in dressage. There is a beautiful KZbin video of him at age 22 and during his dressage days from Iron Springs Farm. He has five first cousins & 1 second cousin who are approved breeding stallions. His 2nd cousin, Heilke 530 was just approved last year. His uncle is Maurits 437 Sport, father of the 5 approved stallions. One of his first cousins, Jurre 495 Sport Elite, has won the national championship six times and is the current reigning champion of older Friesian stallions. Another first cousin, Eise 489 Sport Elite AAA, has just moved to the United States and was the sports driving/carriage champion in the Netherlands on multiple occasions. The entire lineage is known for their calm temperament, high intelligence, and trainability. Not only was Julius ridden, but he carried the Dutch royal family to events at multiple parades over the years he was there. He was one of a team of only eight specially selected Star Friesian stallions who served the royal family. You can also search for the Dutch Royal Stables & Royal parade to the Hague (carrying the Dutch King and his family at the opening day of parliament) on KZbin to see how Julius lived & worked until very recently. Julius & his family are all very sweet horses with excellent stable manners, too. The Friesian Horses, KZbin channel has several videos taken at the stallion station, Stal Chardon where you can see some of these family members and his many Star cousins. @@Sirius-ly it is sad, but it is so the bloodlines can be controlled and avoid overuse of the same line. The breed almost went extinct at one point, but then so mush breeding was going on that there were genetic issues cropping up. The bloodlines were overused and became too closely related. It's one of the reasons that now the mares have difficulty passing the afterbirth without assistance from a vet.

Did you ever hear about "Jasper 366"? This Friesian stallion (now retired) got standing ovations at horse shows because he seemed to "fly" above the floor of the arena. For years he was presented as "the king of the stallions" and celebrated wherever he appeared...

Let me confess I bawled and sobbed watching the long truck of "Horses2fly" with the "Canadian herd" leaving stal G. Wondering where the horses (we knew some since the birth and watched them grow) would go now. And we were so grateful when Yvonne shared a video of them in their nice new surroundings. So it is a wonderful surprise to discover an "unknown" offspring of the younger Queen leading a good life in your loving care! 🤩

I wish I lived closer so that I could have few horses there. I currently live in NJ not too far from where Uniek's father had been before he passed last year.
