I grew up in Iowa a massive Lakers fan and Kobe was basically an idol to me. Staying up till 1230 am on school nights so I could watch the entire Laker games are some of my favorite memories. These stories had me dyin 😂 Appreciate the podcast P!

During his Lakers years he was a 25% guy from 3, he had a year in the Knicks where he averaged 41%. Klay & Bogdanovic was at 41% this year., its top 20 % type stuff. Says alot about his work ethic and ability to take even harsh feedback from your idol.

please do a cut about players dealing with injury . i watched the whole thing and it stood out so much to me. i had no idea that rehab was so brutal that it will make you question wanting to still play or not . made me think about what Zion said when they asked him about his injury and he replied something like mentally he was not ready to come back yet . such a great episode maybe cause im a knicks fan but really made me think for sure

I mean have you ever played sports ? Atleast professional athletes have the resources for rehab .. imagine hs or college level. Minor to major injuries without the same resources . On top of the mental side cause you do get worried it’ll happen again especially if it’s a multi time thing already

I live these stories, but I knew one day something with the helicopter would end in tragedy. I remember about 15 years ago learning that Kobe travels in a helicopter all over LA. I remember thinking one day, it was going to crash. I am still in disbelief. Kobe is gone, but when I heard, I remember what I was thinking about 15 years ago. Needless to say, I wasn't shocked that's how Kobe went out.
