You are so organized. I update the value of my car for net worth statements every 3 months and I list the purchase price + improvements for my house. You never knows what things will sell for. I am riding on the super-conservative side.

Yes always better to be conservative in my opinion too! Best case scenario, your values are higher! 🫶🏼♥️

I don't live in the USA, nor am I am American. However, I love your debt free journey videos because you are so amazingly focussed on your financial goals. It is so inspiring. I was just wondering, is there an advantage to maxing out your Roth IRA first and 401K second?

Thank you so much for watching! The advantage to a Roth IRA is that you’re paying taxes first and then your contributions and their earnings grow tax free. 401k taxes are paid at withdrawal. So neither is necessarily “right” or “wrong” just depends on when you want to pay taxes 😃

If your income is close to the threshold/income limit for a Roth... One can balance/offset the taxable income by doing the 401k contributions first and foremost and possibly not even max out the Roth IRA if funds are limited. It takes a bit of math to figure out, but is totally worth it to #1 pay less taxes and #2 have the opportunity to contribute to a Roth IRA. Just food for thought.
