the whole structure of this cot is fabulous! the length choice in the sleve, and tunic is perfect. would look good, great on anyone! love it! i'm a very picky, and this pattern could never look like a [sore-thumb] horrible on anyone. good choice for sharing

Coming to you from Ontario Canada and we came out of a lockdown (our 3rd or 4th, I’ve lost count) about 3 weeks ago. Crazy times we live in. Numbers are rising again due to a variant. I don’t sew for myself right now, I sew for my home (quilts, curtains) and getting into bag making. Starting off with wristlets. I just love watching your videos, you are giving me such inspiration to sew for myself again. I sewed for myself years ago. Your clothes are amazing !!!

love boiled wool and absolutely love that plum color-win win!! like the lines of that coat as well. Not a brilliant sewer, like an advanced beginner, but think if take my time I can accomplish that. will be gathering my supplies! would love to see you do the actual tutorial, step by step assembly on something like this-esp like applying the patch pockets. yours are finished so nicely! Thanks so much! seeing this after you've had your surgery so hope all went well and as a nurse want to remind you to take it easy for several weeks after--even tho seem fully recovered after "keyhole" surgery in few days remember insides are still healing, can be swollen or irritated and don't want to strain or get adhesions internally. all the best!

I think you would love Simplicity 2560 . It’s a knit cardigan pattern with different options. I made one in a black double brushed polyester and it turned out beautiful!!! I think it’s your style too.

Turquoise is my favorite color. I made a boiled wool coat last year with turquoise and lime green after watching one of your videos. I didn’t make the coat you showed but you still inspired me. I made the Sapporo coat from Papercut Patterns (they’ve renamed it to the Nova) and I LOVE it!!

Oh, the beautiful trees in bloom makes me long for spring again in Georgia, USA. We still have about 2 or 3 months before the weather turns cold. I made the “ every days a weekend’ dress but it was a disaster start to - not yet finished and cast aside until figure out what’s wrong and how to fix it. 😅I had to lower the waist to hit my waist and now the front hits my waist perfect but the back hits halfway down my backside- very unflattering place to hit. I did the same amount front and back to the pattern. I’ll cut it off at the waist tier gathering and raise the back (and maybe front? )🤷‍♀️Then worry about the getting the hem even.

I love boiled wool. I don’t see it much where I live. There are only two fashion fabric stores that I consider close: Nashville, TN and Evansville, IN. I have woolens I purchased years ago. Your patterns are beautiful and look very comfy! It is so fun to play with fabrics that can be used either side. I love your garden! Just beautiful with everything in bloom.

Wishing you the best of outcomes on your surgery! Keeping my fingers crossed that this will end your pain. No one should live with constant pain when there is a remedy for it. Your July makes were wonderful! Now can I borrow them for our Winter up here?? LOL! I think I am going to have to break down and pay the money to get that boiled wool. It is so beautiful and I love the warmth it provides for our super cold Winters. I like a fairly thick boiled wool and I am not sure how thick that one is. Would you consider it a light weight boiled wool or a heavier boiled wool? Again, I hope all goes well with the surgery and I am sending you hugs and prayers! OOOO

Hi Peggy! Thanks so much for your well wishes! I’m recuperating at home and it’s a struggle, but I’ll get there! I’d definitely pay for the good quality warm boiled wool! My favourites for warmth are the thick, spongy ones from Fabric deluxe and Tessuti! The lighter weight blend ones are a little lighter but much Drapier . They look amazing but don’t have the same insulation!

@@thedahliasewciety yes it took me a good 5 days before I left like moving but they want you to walk around to prevent clotting I believe. But I did sleep a lot. I lost 7lbs and did not feel like eating much besides soup. But now I can eat whatever I want because food triggers are gone and elimination is back to normal!
