what should be the pressing direction for the last/longest seam? towards the large square or towards the strip? or does it matter?

I like doing these and I'm liking this. Trying to figure out how it goes together, in my head, while trying to not mess up. :) BTW - you have a turned block about 1:42 minutes in - on the right side. I hope you caught it.

Are you referring to the little 4-patch in the upper left hand corner of the large block on the right? The tiny white squares should be sitting in each corner, yes? Hope so!

She said after you add those pieces to the eight large blocks that you should have eight left over. I only have four leftover? Am I the only one?

no you are correct :) Please note that at the 3:17 mark, I said... and we will still have 8 blocks...I should have said 4 blocks. 8 with sides on them and 4 just by themself. Thanks for letting me know :)

Sewing the four patches to the triangle blocks-no problem. Matching the row to the larger block-not good. The triangle block did not meet at the intersections as you showed and described-not at all. So disappointing-I am a meticulous piecer. I could not find any way to make it work; looks like they are haphazardly attached and does not reflect the type of work I normally do.
