We can see that contesting god spot is important especially in late game, which enables rehect to control engagements from c9 and serenity. This allowed them to win the game. Sheesh the analysis of algs never seemed to amaze me.

One thing I also didn't include is that C9 (idk about Serenity) didn't know that was Reject, when there was only 2 Wattson teams in the lobby and both were match point. It wasn't to important to include cause their comms C9 says they're gonna play for the win, but would've been interesting to see how it would've unfolded if both teams tried to grief Reject

C9 says play for second but immediately switches up and says play for win, their comms were so hectic at the end it made it tough to include and kinda changed nothing so i left them out. They only say "was that reject" after they died which didn't fit the flow

I love these videos because it feels like I’m watching a war documentary with all the comms and bullets and explosions. It’s just people hunched over computers but MAN you make it feel so real and visceral. You get the stakes and intensity with this beautiful editing

Once I saw Reject Winnity set up after the SSG fight I knew the tournament was over. It didn't help that the two other teams had to fight (territory wise) it was open sight lines while Reject had cover. Seeing the finals live at the Galen Center was crazy.

Takeaway's from this video apart from the obvious: C9 have a Leader in Naughty now. He no longer is the player that gets beaten down by others verbally. Impressive performance. RC had it all figured out from Zone 1. Every rotate and decision was with the mentality of THIS IS OUR WIN and the conviction to never delay. DZ was afraid of Aurora, with good reason, to rotate through them. The extra loot time prepared E8 for the fight and let them see every move DZ took before arriving. E8 actually played it incredibly smart and if this wasn't DZ but any other teams, they hold this spot until SSG thirds. So much to digest from this one game alone. We're blessed in Apex currently with multiple teams at the top level, and a lot of them aren't even NA!

In this case u dont want to have to god spot early if u know that the whole lobby can recognize the god spot. This reminds me of the first couple of days playing Apex and thinking being in the middle of the end-zone was god spot. Not realizing u will get shot from all directions of the lobby. I agree, thing is tho they don't. Idk if it was an audio thing at the end but Serenity just don't talk. Only thing C9 say is "play for the win" which I could've maybe added but they don't know the tournament is done until after they lose. im still so shocked there hasn't been a "solidified strat" to counter teams on match point... like in this scenario, just doing a mating call to alert both C9 or SER and swing at Reject. Then the match point team can just do the same call to make them think that they're not in match point. The only way to know is to look at the team comp & skins, which they actually should be able to tell since Reject was the only wattson team iirc, but since they were under pressure, they probably overlooked it
