This is the first video in our new 7 day challenge beginner series. This series will also be found on the soon-to-be-released zen dude fitness app! The main goal of this series is to go from "I know nothing about jump rope" to "I feel confident doing jump rope regular bounce (basic bounce) and run in place." Yesterday when i practiced, I think i finally found my rhythm.my rope and my feet are more coordinated compared to the previous days.so that means less times hitting myself with a rope :-P

I get so aggravated i forget i’m learning a skill not just working out. Like if i wanted a good workout i would just go running but jumprope is more than that

I just started jump roping and it was super frustrating not knowing how to do it. This helped me so much I was able to jump rope for 20 seconds right away and I'm so excited to keep jump roping!!!

I started doing the 30 day challenge last Monday, today is my 4th day and my calves are killing me can hardly walk but am working out through the pain and won't stop. I can only do the regular bounce jump rope for now, find it very hard to do any other movements but this video is very helpful I wish I would have seen this before I started, but can't stop now. I will keep going and learning....

To follow up on my comment, the pain went away on the 5th day, today when I woke up the pain was almost gone, did not feel my muscles as sore as before, am loving this work outs. I understand there are 5 days of work outs and you rest two, so I am going to use tomorrow which is my rest day to learn how to do tricks when jumping rope since I have mastered the regular bounce by now but now I want to be able to do all those tricks that you guys do....

This is nice. I had to stop for a while because of shin splints + exams and found that I'd lost all the progress I had made before the splints.

I started with this 7 days challenge.. I was doing all wrong and then I started and i am on day 2 but today I actually grabbed the technique of basic jump rope. Size of jump rope is right.. i am just learning the rhythm. Thank you so much team!

loving the counting (1...2...3...4) method it helped me get more continuous jumps ^^ but I noticed dat m jumping a wee bit too high, need to tweak dat

Can u guys do an Samsung health and gear s3 watch app or add your workouts to Samsung Pear Sports app, would love to do your workouts while getting the benefits of tracking calories heart rate and getting vocal encouragement...so far I can't find any workouts currently on there that does jump rope cardio

please guide if the jump rope should hit the ground or we should skip it int air. if my jump rope is hitting the ground does it mean the length of the rope in longer. the folded jump rope reaches my chest around the nipples when i hold it under one leg

did you achieve your body type by just jump roping? i'm sure there are other factors involved in your workout such as diet but did you ever go to the gym and lift weights or did you just jump rope? thanks!

im doing jumping since 4 or 5 month but now i can not able to make my mind to focus and continue jumping rope...may be because i jump rope for more then 50 min every day 7 days a week for more then 2 months now,with less then 2000cal daily intake....

+Jump Rope Dudes So I have asperger's and I have been trying to learn to jump rope for about 12 days now. At most I can jump over the rope 7 times consecutively then I end up hitting it. Do you think everyone has what it takes to learn or maybe that some people don't have the coordination for it?

Footage - we are in the mindset that an individual can accomplish what they put their mind to. Obviously everyone experiences different road blocks. IF you want something, put a plan in place, work for it.

Please make it available so I can listen to my 70’s music while I go through work outs with you guys. I use the Crossrope program for one year but it’s too much robotic it would be nice to jump with real people doing the workout together but having my music to listen to at same time. Ben Dover - practice practice practice… people prefer different grips... some like thumbs out and some (usually with heavrier ropes) like the full wrap. do you.

I have one problem. I can skip well but it neither feels nor looks as effortless as you. Sometimes my knee hurts. I can't jump that little height you have without the rope hitting my feet. Maybe the timing is bad, I don't know. It just looks and feels wrong when I jump.

Ridza mnto - it's different than resistance training. You'll burn calories, condition your muscles and lungs, but you won't get the same results that calisthenics provide. Good news. Why are your routines so short? Which is better, work in intervals with the rope, or work continuous jumping (40 minutes jumping rope)?

Struggling to do 30 seconds continually. I made it to 5 skips, and now I am up to 7. It seems like there is a big jump from 5 skips to 30 seconds continually.

I am getting REALLY bad calf/shin pain when I jump rope, like inner middle shin is super painful after jumping for 30 secs I’m sure my form is correct I am bouncing on my toes... zen dudes any advice how to fix this?

Go with what works for you! We jump in basketball shoes, great foot/ankle support and provide great cushion for multi lateral movement!

How do I keep the rythm? If I pay attention to the jumps the rope goes out of rythm. If I pay attention to the rope the jumps go out of rythm.

This didn’t help me, I counted while jumping without rope as soon as I add the rope I’m at a different speed it doesn’t work matching the rope with your feet you’re better matching your feet with the rope

Y'' all know why im here. I know , i mean I do the CONSECUTIVE DOUBLE UNDERS , WITH CRISS CROSS, SIDE SWINGS, FAST SKIPS, CRIS CROSS WITH REG. BOUNCE and all that stuff. But I AM ONE DIFFERENT BEING ON EARTH WHO DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO REG. BOUNCE PROPERLY. Every time I do it, I just trip, thats what all happens. Chris Davies - good for indoor training but doesn't require you to develop the same coordination.

You show him jump and then slow down the video so you can't get a feeling for the rhythm. :-(
