I just purchased T12 pro from Amazon. I was previously running a hitec optic 6 on 72 MHz. My 8-year-old son is taking an interest in RC and I decided it was time to get rid of my 4-ft metal antenna and get something more modern, smaller grip for him is ideal. Thank you for the review

I got my hands on the t12 plus, which is my daily driver, and I totally dig it. Hall effect gimbals and all the jumper goodness. Plus, as stated, I have pretty large hands but it makes getting all of the gimbal range super easy, and its not like packing around a big ole brick.

I can’t complain I just purchased the kingkong combo with radio(Grayson Hobby) it works pretty well no complaints I fly it with et125 4s , Acrobee pro , Mobula 6 , beta 75 hd, and my 5 inch Rotor riot build. Off and flying thanks to you guys !!

For the past year, since it came out basically, I have been decided to buy the FrSky X9D Lite. Mostly because of the good reviews and affordability of course. But... every time I would look at videos or photos, I couldn’t help but seeing what looked like a cheap toy. I’ll tell you what, this T12 Pro does not look like a toy. I don’t care it is a fake carbon fiber overlay, I don’t think I will mind the not-full-size gimbals (coming from a Turnigy Evolution). I mean, I’m all about practicality and usually don’t care much about what other people think, but taking something so cheap looking out of the bag, and holding it while maintaining a position that can already be very strange to a passerby that has no clue what the heck you are doing... made it a hard choice. Then this guy came along. And it looks gorgeous, certainly more serious than the X9D Lite. I love it’s appearance, size, compatibility, and that it’s still affordable! Can’t wait to buy it.

Nice review. Worth considering the Radiomaster T16 equivalent model - not much more expensive than the T12 pro. Also doesn't have flexi's (flexi's have their uses and help keep manufacturing costs down, but are bad news if you take things apart - delicate). Have read there is a loss of RF problem with this caused by a DMA conflict with the SD card. What that means in practice is that a voice message can cause a momentary loss of Tx signal. Believe it is a known problem in OpenTx 2.3.7 for the T12, hopefully to be fixed in 2.3.8. currykitten has details on this. Guess you can mask it temporarily by having failsafe stage 1 hold values for about 1/2 sec - or leave the SD card out. You might find the tools sold for repairing mobile phones would be good for getting those switch bits out - one is a bit like a guitar plectrum. (I like a momentary switch for the beeper).

Looks really good. Just ordered one. 6 switches is enough for me. And there is good, clear access to the top two switches, which I use for flight mode and rates. I’m guessing after using this for a while the full size Tx’s will feel like a brick.

Question @ everyone - Does anyone know what needs to be done to keep the sticks registering center 0.00. My pitch keeps showing 1.9 to 2.9. I can trim it down close to 0.00 but it goes -0.2 to 0.6. Do I have bad gimbals?

What's the max size for a 2S Lipo? The one used in video is the 2500 which is 73*37*17. I saw the 3000 but is 71*36*20. I wonder if it fit... Also does the internal charging works on 2S lipo or only on 18650? It is through the mini USB I guess right?

Yes, t12 pro has the JP4in1 module just like the t8sg so it should be able to bind to most toy models

I have a T16 I got from you guys. I can say I have had to re set the ribbon cables 3 times because switches will randomly stop working and that solves it. The ribbon cables are terrible, so I hope the T18 has done away with them. If so I will likely be ordering that from you guys, and sell the T16. Other than the ribbons, and sliders I LOVE the T16. I use it way more than my DX9!

@@graysonhobby Nope, I did it right. The switches randomly failed between firmware updates. It is a mechanical failure, not a software failure. I have an engineering degree an am trained in diagnostic procedure. It is 100% the ribbon.

I updated everything to 2.3.7 via Oscar Liang's guide for the T16. Then, when I booted up, it went into calibration mode and wouldn't show that the sticks were moving. I tried to use RTN button to back out, but they were not responsive. Pls Help! (FYI this is on the T16)

I have noticed that NONE of you people in the process of doing your tear down comparisons are exercising ANY Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions whatsoever. I've noticed some people touching components with metal screwdrivers and other metal pointers without the person wearing a grounding wrist strap. Static electricity does more damage to digital than most people realize. It doesn't have to do catastrophic damage but eventually you will have a radio failure attributed to ESD. Be on the safe side an wear a ESD wrist strap grounding kit. They don't cost but 10 to 15 Dollars US and can save you an expensive airplane or drone. I Cringe EVERY time I watch one of you people tear down a radio !!!
