With those cotter pins, I've never seen them used that way. They are typically used to prevent a bolt from falling out of its bore and not to actually fasten something down. If you think that vibrations could be an issue I would suggest switching to a bolt+nut over just a retainer+cotter pin. If you search "castle nut and cotter pin" you can see how they are typically used. Nice install as always :)

Vibration isn't a problem. This type clip is used on tractors/ lawnmowers and in other high vibration situations. That compressor is not going anywhere with those installed...

You should use vipers wet rags for the drier and the slight glass to keep the paint and the drier from burning make it look cleaner and drier doesn’t get as hot

One thing noteworhy. When hard soldering in a mech. Rm. Always check for smoke detectors and or heat detectors and disable as necessary. The clip on the compressor mounting bushings r hair pin clips.

Haven't encountered that before with thos style but it is a possibility. Have you ever had that happen? I have seen multiple heat exchangers for a multistack chiller burst into the refrigerant line. We went to put on a manifold guage and it was was water coming out of the shrader valve when it was depressed 🔧⚡️ Thanks for watching!

@@JumpermanTechhahaha thats crazyyy. Blew nitro thru the refrigeration system once on a 15oz glycol gremlin I had trouble locating a leak for a while at this point. Was also doing routine maintenance cleaning the water coil so i had the hoses disconnected at the heat exchanger. Heard nitro jet out of the water coil😱. Then it stopped & i couldn’t replicate it! Company was on the edge of replacing the whole unit but did some justice tryna get more money out the unit. That glycol cold as hell to this day getting people drunk😂😂😂 unsung heroes some of these compressors. Called me because it was making a strange noise lol.

had it once happen on a Co2 Booster rack for a Store. The Security Valve for the Water pressure went off until only Vapor Co2 came out of it. Was quite an emergency repair with a lot of Food thrown away.

I prob would have put the armour flex on the suction line and clamped it to braze then after it was cooled woulda slid it down feel like makes it look cleaner that way u know looks good tho bro
