Used to work as a field service tech, although not HVAC but communications. Diagnostic thinking is the same though. The vid brings me back to good memories.

Great video just wanted to let you know that you could most likely be taken off the connectors on end of wires with a small screwdriver on both ends. Then swapped the connector so that they could be compatible and have no spices.

Nice troubleshooting and explanation of your thought process. You must in a northern climate,. Would have expected to see a heat pump and not a gas furnace.

Today I did my first service on a unit like that. OMG with all the wiring you are losing your mind. I was freaking out cause I never worked on such a unit before.

The HSI was bad. It took me while to figure it out but I fixed it.

@@harryschrysan3183 of course if you did it first time. I never worked with this type of unit and going to have it tomorrow, I just know model of unit and issue: not cooling

QUICK QUESTION for ya JumperMan... what does that unit use the 11v (12.9v) control voltage for? For the little LCD display and control buttons it has on the face?
@robertpeters94382 жыл бұрын
Probably failed due to heat. Replace with higher temp rated transformer to avoid future failures.
