The "little king" is, I believe, a reference to what "Regulus" means. Regulus is named after the star Regulus in the Leo constellation, which in Latin stands for "little king". This is really cool as this is the first time the story has made a direct reference to the constellations. If you look into it, there's a LOT and I mean a LOT of connections you can draw with characters named after stars and the constellations and mythology regarding those stars. If you haven't already noticed, all of the Sin Archbishops are named after stars. Regulus as previously mentioned. Petelgeuse named after Betelgeuse in the Orion constellation. Lye Batenkaitos named after Batenkaitos in the Cetus constellation. Roy Alphard named after Alphard in the Hydra constellation. Sirius named after Sirius in the Canis Major constellation. Capella named after Capella in the Auriga constellation. There are more. Subaru is the Japanese name for the Pleiades star cluster in the Taurus constellation. Subaru in Japanese means "uniter", and also Pleiades is also referred to as the seven sisters. Al's full name is Aldebaran, named after the star Aldebaran in the Taurus constellation. Aldebaran in Arabic stands for "the follower" and is named as such as it was thought to follow Pleiades(Subaru). All the Three Great Mabeasts are in the sky relatively close to Pleiades or other stars which characters are named after. Cetus constellation (representing a whale which is the constellation Batenkaitos is in), close to Taurus, which Pleiades is in Hydra (representing a snake) - constellation which Alphard is in, close to Leo, which Regulus is in Lepus (representing a rabbit/hare) - close to Canis Major, which Sirius in in and also close to Cetus too. Another crazy thing is how Regulus the star is approximately 79 light years away from the Sun. Emilia being his 79th wife is specific. I doubt that this is a coincidence. Also, in Greek mythology, the Leo constellation is thought to represent the Nemean Lion which used to take women as hostages to its lair in a cave, luring warriors from nearby towns to save the damsel in distress. Pretty similar to what Regulus is doing, yeah? It's crazy how many connections you can make. I've literally made a 23 page document documenting all of these connections we can make from the information given to us in the series so far. Also, you should check out Nearly On Red on KZbin. He made a video about constellations regarding s1 content which is really good, and where I got inspired to look into the constellations. He also made a theory recently, predicting that there may be a third Sin Archbishop of Gluttony. As I previously stated, there are constellations representing the Three Great Mabeasts. We also know that Lye's powers is similar to the Whale's, erasing names and stuff. So, what if each Sin Archbishop of Gluttony represents each of the Mabeasts of their constellation. What if Roy is similar to the Black Serpent, since the constellation Alphard is in represents a snake. If we go along that line of logic, there should also be a third Sin Archbishop of Gluttony representing the rabbit which is named after a star in the Lepus constellation. What's even more cool is that we can predict their name! If there's a third Sin Archbishop of Gluttony, their last name may be either Arneb or Nihal since those are the only two stars with proper names in Lepus. This turned out a lot longer than I thought, lol

At 12:12, Julius says, "Youjo Tsuaki" which translates to "Little girl user." So it's not a Crunchyroll pulling a Crunchyroll

Translation errors with flipping pronouns are in all the sin archbishops' speeches. Gluttony before was saying "the more WE wait etc the better the taste" NOT saying YOU. And here Capella was saying it makes you hate THEM ie the transformed people NOT me. She wants them to hate others and love her out of lust. Crunchyroll is definitely just using shitty mtl with poor quality control at this point cause of underpaying the translators, because not getting the topic, subject of a sentence etc right is the biggest weakness for mtl with japanese to english.

I'm just gonna get my sister to ditch crunchyroll for our long rewatch plus catch up to season 3 now. This is why I'm learning Japanese, the translation quality is being driven down by these companies(btw I think the light novel translations are fine and overhated).

The Capella speech made more sense to me after I rewatched it a couple time. Everyone is filth to her and she can make everyone filth using her authority. In doing so, she also makes it to where there is zero "competition" and wants everyone to Lust after her. It is a very interesting approach on Lust. Best execution I have seen on the sin compared to other anime. Fucking loved it.

I haven't heard anyone complain about the LN translations. If anything, I have only heard complaints about the WN translations and just the WN in general. I have bought most of the LN's up to Arc 5, just need to slowly read through them. Thanks for the comments!! P.S. I highly suggest getting the tool ani-cli for watching anime :) It's what I use for my reaction videos. You can use it on Android, MacOS, iOS, Linux, & Windows.

It seems to have died down just the social media forums with massive fanbases sometimes have connections with the fan translators so differences in the official translations get excessively criticised there. Not that it's perfect but the light novels are the best medium for me(especially since they're the non draft version). Glad you liked the comments! I know the meaning comes through but when they say "it makes you hate me" that's totally out of character for Capella is all. I'm not very good at using more tools for anime watching. Tbh I just love the novels loads - I actually really enjoyed some of your videos as I also started writing a series with re zero as motivation, plus learning Japanese on my own. Another thing about crunchyroll is I don't even know if I'll end up buying blurays with them as studio, since for season 2 UK release they lied about making one and a year after it was cancelled the UK blurays are being sold in a month by another place as studio. So for all I know, none of the UK dvds except for season 1 will list them, dunno if that'll mean some other company also making the dubs and subs here.
